Job SummaryThis position works under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Personally administers care to patients and provides support to the patient care team. Summary Summary Under the direction of a licensed Nurse and with respect for human dignity delivers a variety of high quality care, and will perform the basic patient care that meets the needs and uniqueness of assigned patients. If candidate is at least 17 years of age but does not yet have a current high school diploma/GED, the following requirements must be met: must be actively working towards high school diploma/GED and receive within 2 years of hire. Licensure/Certification Must obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire. CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred. If assigned to the Parkview Randallia Family Birthing Center, PCTs must be bonded as a notary public within 6 months of hire for those 18 years and older. Performs direct and indirect patient care. Direct patient care can include bathing, assisting with elimination, and assisting patients with feeding, bed making, safety observation, blood glucose checks, vital signs, urinary catheter insertion/care, dressing changes, and phlebotomy. Indirect patient care can include documentation; assist to reinforce patient/family education stocking supplies and orienting patients and staff to the unit.
