Job Description

The Medical Imaging Equipment Specialist I (MIESI) will, with minimal supervision, provide a variety of tasks including repairs, calibration, testing and maintenance of diagnostic imaging equipment to ensure safe and appropriate operations. This position will also be responsible for performing electrical safety tests on clinical imaging equipment and acting as a resource for staff members who will use diagnostic imaging equipment.

Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma / GED. Combination of education and/or equivalent military service with basic electronics or electro-mechanical experience may also be accepted in lieu of Diploma / GED

Preferred Education: Associate's degree in biomedical Equipment Technology or Electronics

Required Experience: Two (2) to four (4) years of related biomedical and/or electronic work experience. Must exhibit good interpersonal skills and be flexible and available to work with employees at all levels. Must present good verbal and written communication skills. The Senior Medical Imaging Systems Analyst is responsible for the advanced management, optimization, and technical oversight of all medical imaging technologies and systems within the healthcare environment. This role ensures the seamless operation and integration of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), Radiology/Cardiology Imaging Applications, and various medical imaging modalities across multiple departments (e.g., radiology, cardiology, pathology).

As a senior-level expert, the analyst leads initiatives for system enhancements, provides strategic guidance, and ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory standards, including data security, quality control, and interoperability. Role is hybrid regular on-site/remote support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Advanced Imaging System Management:

    • Participate in high-level strategic planning meetings regarding new imaging technologies, budget planning, and infrastructure expansion.
    • Mentor junior staff and identify learning opportunities.
    • Collaborate with leadership regarding industry trends and new technology.
    • Stay informed on emerging medical imaging technologies, including AI-based diagnostic tools, cloud-based imaging solutions, and machine learning applications.
    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve imaging system efficiency and clinical effectiveness.
    • Lead standardization initiatives across departments to ensure consistency in imaging system usage and performance.
  8. Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and workflow optimizations.
    • Develop and update technical documentation, policies, and standard operating procedures related to imaging systems.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field (Masters preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, specifically with medical imaging systems (PACS, RIS, imaging modalities) in a hospital or clinical setting.

**Duties and responsibilities**
+ Performs preventative maintenance and unscheduled maintenance work as directed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a multi modality CT/Rad Technologist, you would operate CT equipment, to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions. You will prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient to capture optimal images requested by the physician.

  • You will accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan and X-Ray equipment.
  • Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.
  • Prepare examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures, as well as X-Ray.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • One year CT and X-Ray Experience.
  • ARRT-CT Registered.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.

Shift: Mixed Day shift and Weekend Night shift. 3 twelve hour shifts

You will prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient to capture optimal images requested by the physician.
+ You will accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan and X-Ray equipment.
+ Assist the radiologist in administering medication and contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.
+ Prepare examination rooms for CT scan and/or invasive procedures, as well as X-Ray.
+ Monitor inventory of supplies during room rotation and maintain room cleanliness.
Requirements:
+ Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology.
+ One year CT and X-Ray Experience.
+ ARRT-CT Registered.
+ Basic Life Support Certification.
