Job Summary The Medical Technologist at Medpace Reference Laboratories plays a pivotal role in research based drug development within the pharmaceutical industry. We are hiring for the following shifts: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM Responsibilities Perform low, moderate, and high-complexity testing Train on state-of-the-art instrumentation to learn maintenance and troubleshooting skills Evaluate and interpret quality control and testing results Problem solve and work alongside our team of Medical Laboratory Scientists and PhD Scientists to develop and validate new tests and methods for routine and biomarker testing in our expanding laboratory Strictly adhere to safety procedures Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree with MT, MLS,or CLS(ASCP) certification, or certification eligible; or Bachelor's degree with MLT(ASCP) certification or certification-eligible Previous experience in a laboratory setting a plus Medpace Overview Medpace is a full-service clinical contract research organization (CRO). This position may operate in various major laboratory areas, including Transfusion Service, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology/Immunology, Toxicology, Special Chemistry, and Fibrinolysis. The Technician operates and maintains a variety of laboratory instruments, utilizes the laboratory computer system for duties, adheres strictly to established policies and procedures, and works under the supervision of a general supervisor, yet operates independently. Direct supervision is not required for specimen processing, test performance, or result reporting. • Conducts, directs, or assists in special projects, evaluations, or research initiatives.

• Demonstrates the necessary skills to independently conduct a variety of laboratory tests, showing proficiency in each area.
• Efficiently operates laboratory instruments while performing checks, calibrations, preventative maintenance, and basic troubleshooting according to established written guidelines.
• Contributes to Quality Control procedures by accurately performing and reporting results, as well as identifying any discrepancies in Quality Control.
• Facilitates the preparation of samples for analysis and ensures proper storage and preservation of specimens.
• Assists in preparing reagents and monitors supply inventories, managing stock supplies as needed.
• Performs registration and sample collection as required by the location.
• Engages in routine procedures relevant to the discipline, including data collection and analysis that may impact patient care decisions.
• Collaborates on the development of new procedures and the enhancement of existing ones.
• After achieving proficiency in both basic and some advanced skills, provides training to bench personnel and students in laboratory procedures.
• May serve as a subject matter expert for the laboratory information system as needed and train staff where applicable.

• Maintains currency in the field, including any required licenses or certifications by engaging in continued education, attending conferences, meetings, in-services, networking opportunities, literature reviews, or seminars.
• Participates in all mandatory training sessions at The Christ Hospital. Utilizes the knowledge and skills acquired in work and department.
• May also participate in internal or external professional committees, agencies, councils, and related activities.
