Job Summary
The Director of Health Services (DHS) is a member of the P2P leadership team and reports directly to the Deputy Director. The DHS is committed to the P2P mission and the well-being and independence of the individuals we serve. The DHS is responsible for ensuring P2P agency compliance with the DDS required Medication Administration Program (MAP). As a member of the leadership team this position works to establish agency policy and standards regarding client medical care. In addition to setting policy and providing medication oversight, the DHS will provide on-going staff training on relevant medical concerns and trends in the IDD population, facilitate vaccination clinics and broker relationships with client medical care providers and outside pharmacies that serve P2P clients.
- Attend weekly leadership meetings; provide strategic direction for P2P to ensure compliance with DDS client care requirements.
- Manage, document, and supervise quarterly medication audits at each program; this includes following MAP procedures in conjunction with the program manager.
- Develop, train, and implement weekly MAP audits by assigned Direct Care staff.
- Provide high-level oversight of the medical care of the individuals supported by P2P, including but not limited: to contacting physicians, communicating with guardians, and following up with Program Managers.
- Develop and provide staff training on medical care topics such as client diet/nutrition, durable medical equipment, and diagnoses.
- Respond to medical emergencies by providing guidance and direction via phone.
- Oversee new client referral medical intake reviews.
- Act as Emergency Medical On-Call; nights, weekends and holidays as back up to the Program Manager On-call.
- Medical On-Call acts as MAP consultant when the pharmacy is not available.
- Medical On-Call provides guidance and support to staff on duty and can communicate with hospitals and physicians remotely.
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for oversight, training and coordination of agency health services;
- Schedule, conduct and document Medication Administration Trainings according to the Medication Administration Program (MAP) regulations;
- Liaison with Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Department of Public Health (DPH) on the MAP Training Program and related healthcare programs and initiatives;

Education and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with MAP Trainer certification.

Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.Our PCTs care for multiple patients.Technician Duties. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership.
