As a Full Time Medical Assistant , you'll provide care to client employees. Premise Health is proud to partner with AT&T in our Health Center located in Dallas, TX . The scheduled hours are Monday - Thursday 8a-5:30p Friday 8a-1p.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Job Title: Returns Assembler/Medical Kitter

Job Description

The Returns Assembler is responsible for handling all returns, documenting information into the computer, labeling products, and rebuilding medical trays to standard specifications. Additional duties include assisting with cleanroom tasks. The role involves working shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (once every 4-6 weeks for one week), with occasional overtime. Training on the Oracle system will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Handle and document all returns accurately into the computer.

• Label products and rebuild medical trays according to standards.

• Assist with cleanroom duties as required.

• Utilize software such as Oracle, Microsoft Outlook, and Teams.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency with computer systems including Oracle, Microsoft Outlook, and Teams.

• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted multiple times a day.

• Attention to detail and strong ability to retain and follow processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with assembly, particularly in a medical setting, is preferred.

• Good vision or corrected vision is essential for processing small components.

• Ability to sit for extended periods and move trays between process areas.

• Adaptability to learn and adjust to multiple processes and process changes.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

Medical Assistant Certification NCRMA certification/ABR-- required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or OE credentials is acceptable OR

Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment. OR

Candidates/incumbents with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within one year of hire date.

Seeking a Medical Assistant for our practice who provides clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Scheduling and canceling patient appointments

Checking-in and checking-out patients

Entering charges and payments

Answering the telephone

Verifying patient insurance and demographics

Collection of co-payments/coinsurance and personal balances 7. Performs selected administrative duties and assists nursing staff.

May collect patient specimens.

Takes patient histories and vital signs.

Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.

Gives injections, and applies casts, splints, and dressings, as applicable.

Prepares and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization. Assists physician in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals.

Perform other duties as required.

Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures. Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement. Practices certified as Patient Center Medical Home include these additional job duties: Coordinates continuity of patient care with external healthcare organizations and facilities and referrals from the primary care provider to a specialty care provider. Participates on a team for data collection, health outcomes reporting, audits and programmatic evaluation related to Patient Centered Medical Home.

EXPERIENCE:

One year of Medical Assisting or other direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

Medical Assistant Certification NCRMA certification/ABR-- required. Acceptable certifications are RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or OE credentials is acceptable OR

Medical Assistants who recently graduated (within the last 12 months) from a Medical Assisting training program must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 60 days of employment. OR

Candidates/incumbents with one year of Medical Assistant work experience who do not possess Medical Assistant Certification must obtain Medical Assistant Certification within one year of hire date.
