Job Requirements
Job Knowledge and Skills

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required

Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation

Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or obtained prior to completion of orientation
Education and Experience

Current New Hampshire RN license

Completion of the Nursing Residency Program within 18 months of hire.

This program consists of a unit-specific nursing orientation full-time, in addition to one-year classroom/SIMS education, and extended mentorship.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

Job Description
Lutheran Hospital's 4D Medical-Surgical & Telemetry Unit is a 44-bed nursing unit that provides cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, neurological, infectious disease, substance abuse, behavioral health, pre-operative and post-operative care. Known for exceeding patients' expectations and high-quality patient care, you'll be joining a collaborative team where caregivers function as one team and patients are put first.
As an RN on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers with providing exceptional care to patients from initial introduction to discharge. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills.
**A caregiver in this position works rotating days/nights from 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m.** **and** **7:00 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m. with every other weekend and holiday requirements.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
+ Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
+ Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability).
+ Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
+ Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
+ Document in patients' medical records
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing
+ Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
+ New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience ?
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
