**Job Description**
The purpose of this position is to apply experience to propose new or improved site management methods to create and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment. These problems include but are not limited to prevention of human injury, environmental degradation and unsafe working conditions/practices. This is done through health, safety and environmental training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to the protection of the environment as well as the productivity of the Company's employees.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Company specific HSE standards, programs and goals by applying Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures as established by the Company on a project site or in an office through training
- Confirm project site adheres to Company and regulatory HSE standards and guidelines
- Promote and foster HSE standards and goals with programs throughout the Company and/or project to confirm a safe and productive work environment
- Conduct surveys, audits, evaluations, inspections, and investigations of intermediate scope incidents and activities to monitor and track HSE standards, programs and goals including project environmental data collection and documentation
- Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
- Other duties as assigned
**Basic Job Requirements**
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and three (3) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to seven (7) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
**Other Job Requirements**
- Experience with industry-wide HSE-related information and data for applications for HSE programs and procedures
- EPC experience
- Mega project experience
- Brownfield / Greenfield experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations

The Swing Road site is looking for a Site HSE Lead that is capable of leading the Safety Program for an Industrial Construction/Maintenance group. As a Managing Consultant , you will contribute your leadership, client relationship, and technical consulting skills to support the growth of ERM's business and client base in the Mountains and Pacific Business Unit, while networking with ERM's global Contaminated Site Management technical team and technology experts to share best practices across the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level professional looking to advance their career to the next level with a global environmental leader.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and provide technical expertise onsite investigation and remediation projects for a variety of clients with complex technical/regulatory issues in the power, chemical, transportation, and other manufacturing sectors.
- Prepare remedial documents and reports such as feasibility studies, remedial and/or corrective action plans, remedial design documents, remedial progress and completion reports, etc.
- Design and negotiate remedial solutions for contaminated soil and ground water, using innovative and emerging remedial treatment technologies as well as traditional systems.
- Oversee multiple projects within client's scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables across ERM's Contaminated Site Management service line (e.g., Brownfields redevelopment, site investigation and remediation, sustainable sediments, risk assessment, environmental construction management, site closure and decommissioning).
- Appropriately delegate project assignments to project teams.
- Manage and mentor junior staff.
- Coordinate with ERM offices in the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe regions on national and international project delivery.
- Develop and expand client relationships that generate repeat business to grow the Contaminated Site Management service area in the western US.
- Prepare technical proposals and participate in business development with existing clients and identified leads.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with other ERM employees.
- Bachelor degree in environmental, civil, chemical, or mechanical engineering, geology, or related degree.
- 4+ years of relevant experience working with significant industrial clients on complex site investigation/remediation projects under a variety of state, federal, and international regulatory structures (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, Oregon RBDM, Washington MTCA).
- Business development experience for large programs/contracts and client relationships supported by repeat business, including established contacts in Power, Transportation, Manufacturing, and/or Chemical industry clients.
- Excellent writing, communication, strategic thinking, and "people" skills.
- Knowledge of the local regulatory climate, with proven negotiation skills with state and local regulators.
- Recognized technical expertise by and established reputation in the local marketplace.
- Ability to manage/mentor junior staff in project work, career development, and performance.
- This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
- 6+ years of relevant experience working with significant industrial clients on complex site investigation/remediation projects under a variety of state, federal, and international regulatory structures (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA, Oregon RBDM, Washington MTCA).
- Ability to draft and review SPCCs and SWPCP/SWPPPs.
- Professional Engineer Certification in Washington/Oregon (or ability to obtain professional license within one year).
- Local candidates preferred.
For the Managing Consultant, Environmental Contaminated Site Management - Engineer / Geologist position, we anticipate the annual base pay of $94,595- $132,849 USD. An employee's pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above . This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary based performance bonus.
