A Travel Physical Therapist is needed in Reston, VA. This Physical Therapist assignment is for 13 weeks and the setting is Outpatient. Our outpatient program is unique-not your typical outpatient or home health setting. Therapists typically work with about 8 residents a day, providing one-on-one care rather than group or multiple concurrent treatments. This personalized approach allows therapists to make a meaningful impact, creating a rewarding experience that traveling therapists also greatly enjoy.
Pay of $1936 may be adjusted based on experience. Ascentia staffing provides a unique experience for candidates. We only staff therapy and only work with clients that we have a direct relationship. The majority of the time our Physical Therapist candidates are interviewed with 48 hours of submission and receive an offer on the same day. Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Minimum three years' experience in critical care or emergency nursing required. Experience in a Loma Linda University Health System hospital preferred. External hires into the CN-C position are granted one year to meet CN-C criteria outlined in the Clinical Nurse Ladder handbook. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association required (one of these three may be completed during introductory period). Trauma Nursing Care Course (TNCC) required within 90 days of hire but may be extended based on class availability. Moderate Sedation certification required and may be obtained during introductory period. Critical Care Registered Nurse certification preferred. Driver's License required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build upon your physical therapy skills while advancing your PT career. The job will entail providing therapy and rehabilitation services to patients at the facility. You care about patients and are committed to helping them recover from their physical ailments. You will work with new and ongoing patients to create individualized plans of treatment that consist of appropriate exercises, procedures, and techniques to promote effective and safe recovery. Job Responsibilities: Demonstrate clinical reasoning while evaluating patients, identifying diagnosis, and developing a comprehensive plan of care. Perform age-appropriate competency skills in area of practice and with respect to individual patient's problems. Follow intervention protocols and alter plan of care appropriately. Document patient progress according to approved medical and facility documentation procedures. Discharge patient when goals have been met or medical necessity no longer warrants intervention. Work cooperatively with supervisors and peers to contribute to the overall productivity of the team.
