Your Daily Duties:

Work in the Operating Room department on a 10-hour shift, Monday to Friday with variable days and on-call requirements, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to see, read information, and assess patients’ needs.
  • Frequent interactions with patients and staff requiring verbal communication and active listening.
  • Manual dexterity for handling equipment and documented patient care tasks.
  • Physical capability to lift and move patients as necessary.
  • Navigate busy environments and stand for extended periods.

Your Experience:

  • BSN from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Colorado RN license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS/NRP/PALS as needed).
  • Preferred: At least one year of cardiothoracic nursing experience in an acute care setting.

Scope Pre Operative Demonstrates understanding of the role of the circulating nurse Prepares the operating room ahead of time and ensures equipment and instruments are ready for the scheduled cases. Intra Operative Demonstrates aseptic technique when opening sterile packaging and demonstrates awareness of the sterile field parameters Identifies and handles specimens according to policy. Provides direct support to the surgical team, anticipates the needs of the surgeon and ensures that they receive the required items in a timely fashion. Assists in positioning the patient for the surgical procedure. Follows positioning guidelines and uses appropriate positioning devices. Completes surgical site prep. Minimum Qualifications: Required Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required. A Registered Nurse with an AS DN degree must complete a BSN degree within four (4) years from the Registered Nurses date of hire unless the Registered Nurse has a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuous Registered Nurse experience in an acute care setting. Failure to obtain a BSN degree within that time frame may result in suspension or termination of employment.
