Summary

Assemble components for doors, windows and glass operations under guidance of leadership. Understands safety is a priority and observes/practices all safety procedures to prevent injury to self or co-workers and attends periodic safety meetings as required; Controls or operates machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. 

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support services and sometimes act as a lead of a
transactional operations area.
• Operate complex machines and systems, adjusting processes to optimize
quality and productivity. Also responsible for generating solutions to
complex inefficiencies.
• Contribute data and information to production plans. Run reports, check accuracy, and distribute information.
• Help to install complex systems and conduct inspections of equipment with
guidance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment for emergency repairs and carry out
preventive maintenance routines.
• Determines daily priorities and plans/adjusts activities to meet goals.
Communicate schedule and productivity goals to team. Reallocates laborer needs.
• Follow the organization's EHS policies, procedures and mandatory
instructions; to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the
wellbeing of oneself and others in the workplace
• Instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky
behaviors within the team and take appropriate action, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
• Implement corrective actions or continuous improvement initiatives, and
monitoring them to make sure they are effective.
• Obtain authorization from a supervisor or manager for any exceptions from
mandatory procedure.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED preferred.


Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, conflict resolution, time management, and communication skills required.
Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)

This role is ideal for professionals experienced in managing day-to-day operations, supporting acquisition programs, and organizing events within a DoD framework.     Responsibilities:

    • Manage and execute day-to-day operations and administrative tasks across the PM C&S organization.
    • Review, edit, and track internal and external staff actions to completion.
    • Coordinate and respond to suspense items, taskers, data calls, and programmatic inquiries.
    • Track mandatory Army and PEO training requirements for military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
    • Plan, develop, and track events such as VIP briefings, mandatory training, and special ceremonies (e.g., retirements, awards, farewells).
    • Prepare and deliver weekly briefings to the Operations Lead and PM C&S leadership, highlighting key notes and actionable items.
    • Support the preparation, coordination, and delivery of high-level briefings and operational documentation, often under tight deadlines and for Flag Officer or O6-level review.
    • Collaborate regularly with program managers, engineers, and schedule analysts to ensure smooth information flow and task execution.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills:

    • Excellent organizational, communication, and editing skills.
    • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard DoD administrative systems.
    • U.S. Citizenship and active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

    Required Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in operations or administrative roles, including collaboration with program managers, engineers, and schedule analysts in a DoD acquisition environment.
    • Experience supporting event planning and execution and reviewing formal correspondence.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working with Army acquisition programs or within a PEO structure.
    • Experience preparing briefings for senior DoD leadership (O6/Flag level).
    • Familiarity with Army and PEO training systems and task tracking tools.

    Overview

    Bowhead seeks a Business Operations Specialist to work on an upcoming awarded contract in Arlington, VA. The Business Operations Specialist will serve as the senior technical advisor for strategies dealing with the long range needs of the Navy.

    Responsibilities

    Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
    • Developing and applying advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex business problems or issues.
    • Additionally, will develop business case analysis, prepare white papers, justifications, alternatives and recommendations, and participate and support efforts associated with developing a Strategic Plan, Operating Plan and other corporate initiatives.
    • Analyzes complex requirements, status, budget and schedules.
    • Performs management, technical, or business case analyses.
    • Collects, completes, organizes and interprets data relating to NAVAIR command programs.
    • Tracks program/project status and schedules.
    • Applies government-instituted processes for documentation, change control management and data management
    • Other dusties as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Management or other related technical siscipline. An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BA / BS.
    • At least eight (8) years of hands-on experience in one of the following areas: business financial analysis, continual process improvement, communication techniques or managing data for large organizations.
    • Prior experience working with industry/government executive level personnel.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of management and operations of Department of Navy Systems Commands.
    • Experience using and designing Microsoft 365 applications including Office, Power BI, SharePoint,
      PowerPoint, Power Automate and lists.
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Sharepoint and the standard Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    Physical Demands:
    • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
    • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
    • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

    SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
