POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chief Engineer is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and supervising all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs for assigned properties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Supervise Engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, personnel development, etc.
2. Manage operational accounts for building as required and assist in the development of operating and capital budgets.
3. Assist in maintenance/engineering issues as required.

9. May assist in the solicitation and acquisition of new management contracts.
10. Develop/maintain as-built drawings.
11. Respond quickly to emergency situations (i.e., fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns.
12. Implement and administer inventory control programs/purchase parts and supplies.
13. Develop specifications and assist in solicitation and administration of maintenance/repair service contracts.
14. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, requisitions, government agencies, and Company directives as relates to building operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. High School diploma or GED equivalent
2. 5+ years of related work experience, depending on the size of the property.
3. Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent.
4. Must be certified as a Universal Technician for CFCs or within 90 days of employment.

GENERAL SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director of Building Operations, the Chief Engineer is responsible for managing the maintenance, repair, and performance of the facilitys mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. To ensure a safe, stable, and comfortable climate for DIA visitors and to ensure accurate climate control for the art collection.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Manage the department, determining priorities and goals, scheduling, and annual budget ensuring that department resources and staff support the museum's strategic goals and annual museum-wide goals, and that those goals are met on schedule and within budget.

• Recruit, mentor, develop and successfully manage a team to achieve the strategic objectives and the present and future needs of the department.

• Manage maintenance and operations of all HVAC mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in line with museum standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in related field required, HVAC Engineering degree preferred. City of Detroit, First-class Operating Engineers Refrigeration License, CFC Universal License, and Facility Engineer Certification (CFM, CEM, OSHA) required. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to support the Airspace and Surface Radar Reconnaissance (ASRR) system development. The Software Developer will be responsible for building, testing, delivering, and deploying software applications that support ISR operations, data processing, and system integration for the ASRR program. Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions North America, LLC is looking for a Chief Engineer in Cleveland, OH.

Your performance areas:

The Chief Engineer will design, analyze and specify mechanical components and systems to support and improve existing and/or new rock processing tools, equipment and products.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyze equipment specifications and process requirements to conceive a practical design for mechanical and hydraulic construction tool attachments for rock crushing, screening and breaking equipment used in mining, construction, and demolition activities.
• Prepare engineering documentation to support product design and manufacture for HoPac compactor driver attachments and brackets to meet organizational and customer needs.
• Assist in resolving manufacturing problems and product quality deficiencies for rock crushing and breaking equipment.
• Redesign current product portfolio for mechanical and hydraulic construction attachments, improve manufacturability for attachment tools, and meet market requirements in North America and globally.
• Implement the globalization of the HoPac product from an engineering perspective.
• Support the localization of other rock processing tool attachment products from an engineering perspective.
• Provide technical engineering support to other departments and customers.
• Meet with customers and vendors regarding product requirements.
• Ensure that product designs for mining and construction equipment meet high quality requirements and performance standards.
• Take engineering ownership of the North American managed product portfolio for HoPac compactor drivers and bracket attachments.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering and three (3) years of experience as R&D Engineer or Product Development Engineer.
• The required three (3) years of experience must have included performing research, design and development for mechanical and hydraulic tools and crushing solutions used for mining, rock processing, and crushing. May telecommute from home within the Cleveland, OH metropolitan statistical area (MSA) up to two (2) days per week.

The Chief Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the engineering division. In the absence of the Director, the assistant will assume the administrative, financial and operating aspects of the hotel as they relate to engineering.

• Assist in developing and implementing plans to maintain property, equipment, grounds and other assets in a safe and acceptable state of repair.
• Ensure the hotel is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws.
• Supervise and train all Engineering staff in Customer Service, Empowerment, Standard Operating Procedures and Loss Prevention.
• Create and post all Engineering staffs schedules.
• Create and adhere to annual budget for department.
• Assist in developing financial forecasts and actively participate in monthly profit/loss review meetings.
• Create and implement preventative maintenance program for all hotel equipment.

• Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project and oversee the general contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed for a minimal cost.
