The salary range for this role is $150,000.00 - $180,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

The Director, Innovation & Strategy is responsible for the implementation of care management, communication, analytics, reporting, IT, quality, regulatory and compliance workstreams for a network of health care providers, multiple networks or a large, multi-site health care delivery system. The incumbent will be expected to work a portion of their week from home and at least two days a week at a CareFirst location based on business needs and work activities/deliverables that week._**
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
+ Provides leadership in collaboration with CareFirst market segment leaders and/or Health System dyad leaders to develop, implement and evaluate all programs under Partnership arrangement including patient care programs, adequate networks, competitive networks, practice models and capital projects. Responsible for the identification and implementation of the business objectives focused on value-based program performance, with a focus on financial and clinical outcomes, capital requirements, resource allocation including space and personnel management.
+ Creates and monitors infrastructure, systems, processes and standards to achieve desired outcomes of Partnership in collaboration with CareFirst stakeholders and/or health system medical directors, leadership, department chairs and medical staff at both CareFirst and the Health System.
+ Organizes, leads, balances and executes strategies and supporting tactics of the Joint Operating Committee with CareFirst Market Segment Leaders and/or health system leadership. Works with service lines and related hospital and clinical, operational and departmental leaders at the Health System as well as legal, financial, contracting, and actuarial teams at CareFirst to collaboratively coordinate and implement efforts of the Partnership. Works with health system leadership to create programs that will drive growth and enhance business performance in key market segments.
+ Responsible for management and oversight of relationship with any additional consultants/vendors CareFirst may contract with for analysis on work executed in key relationships; direction and vision for policy and quality standards for all departmental work; inventory trends and impacts; tactical planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting; and ad hoc executive management reporting.
+ Oversees the strategic and the day-to-day activities of the Department, including directing, coaching, and guiding associates in order to implement departmental, divisional, and organizational mission/goals. Recruits, retains and develops a high performing team. Evaluates performance of each team member, generates development plans and sets goals within the context of the corporate policies and procedures. Develops annual goals, and prepares, monitors, and analyzes variances of departmental budgets in order to control and appropriately allocate resources.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
**Education Level:** Bachelor's Degree, Business, Healthcare, Finance or related field or equivalent experience, with strong financial background OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
**Experience:** 8 years health care insurance industry with specific experience in health system operation, value-based programs, and service line management. 3 years supervisory experience or demonstrated progressive leadership experience

**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.

**Position Summary**
The Sr Manager, Behavioral Health Partner Innovation Strategy will report to strategy & product within Aetna's Mental Well-being organization. They will be responsible for coordinating across various functional partners to support the strategy and execution of new and existing strategic partnerships. + Support provider partnership framework to drive strategic business needs and identify opportunities for increased mutual value with partners.
+ Partners with cross functional teams, business areas, business segments to ensure all workflow processes and interdependences are identified and addressed.
+ Leads business activities related to partnership development/management and establishes strong partnerships with national behavioral health network team, behavioral health clinical partners, and line of business leaders to drive execution of strategic partnerships.
+ Build strategic market and competitive analysis to drive identification and implementation of external opportunities and new innovations aligning to strategic needs of the organization.
+ Represents company with high visibility constituents, including strategic provider partners and customers.
+ Align with multi-year strategic priorities of the Mental Well-being organization and identify gaps and opportunities to drive new partnerships.
+ Optimizes interaction with assigned partners and internal business partners to facilitate relationships and ensure partner needs are met.
+ Proactively identifies barriers, risks and, unmet needs as well as mitigating strategies in escalating to leadership as appropriate.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 5 to 7 years of experience in vendor management/contracting, provider partnership development, and procurement
+ 2 to 4 years of experience in mental or behavior health
+ 3 to 5 years stakeholder management - experience with leading, creating and delivering executive presentations providing support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives.
+ Proficient with MS Office suite applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Word)
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing effectually, and meeting deadlines
+ Demonstrated relationship management skills at peer levels within an organization and external constituents.
+ Experience working with technology professionals
+ Experience with small or mid-sized cross-functional initiatives, with a moderate degree of complexity.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ 3 to 5 years Industry experience in mental or behavioral health, payer, commercial, and Medicare
+ Proven ability to interact with, influence and collaborate with business leaders and producing managers at all levels
+ PMP certification
+ Experience with enterprise-wide and/or cross-functional large-scale initiatives with high degree of complexity

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$67,900.00 - $199,144.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
