Summary:

As a Manager of Innovation & Strategy, you will lead improvement projects and training programs with cross-organizational scope and complexity. Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute long- and short-term engineering and business strategic plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of small- to large-scale projects including, but not limited to battery manufacturing, smart technology, and process improvement
  • Manage and execute training sessions (Lean Six Sigma, and Digital Transformation) and their progress, and assist employees in applying the appropriate tools in their work area
  • Communicate with senior management (Directors and Executives) to keep projects aligned with current business initiatives and goals
  • Evaluate project performance and support monthly/quarterly/yearly employee award programs.
  • Assist LGESMI Team Leaders in any strategic initiative that will help in compliance to standards & goals
  • Implement future LG systems, and design creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant performance
  • Compile and disseminate focal communication, team/company progress and leadership vision via PowerPoint, Excel, or Business Intelligence Reporting methods at the individual, team and organizational levels

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience:
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in an automotive or other manufacturing environments
  • 3 to 6+ years of experience leading and managing multiple processes

This role, working closely with the Innovation Strategy Manager, is responsible for the product discovery, user research, and incubation process, evaluating and prioritizing innovation initiatives, and incorporating AI and emerging technologies to create a competitive advantage for Cooley's world-leading legal practices. Position responsibilities :

  • Facilitate key aspects of the practice innovation pipeline to discover, incubate, and evaluate new product opportunities that will yield the greatest benefits to the firm and its attorneys
  • Engage in user research to deeply understand attorney and client pain points, and opportunities to improve legal workflows, and catalogue actionable learnings
  • Identify and implement ideas to refine, systematize and scale the practice innovation pipeline process to promote greater efficiency, uniformity, and transparency into how product decisions are made
  • Identify and evaluate practice innovation opportunities leveraging cutting-edge emerging technologies and AI advancements
  • Foster strong working relationships with change management, innovation counsel, product, engineering, and other teams to evaluate products and use cases, run pilots, launch products and drive engagement and value delivery
  • Collaborate in cross-functional project intake and prioritization process across technology and operations departments
  • Coordinate data-driven evaluation process to quantify the business value of practice-facing products
  • Collaborate in the development of and adoption of unified work management practices across practice innovation to promote transparency, clarity, scalability and efficiency
  • All other duties as assigned or required

Skills & experience :

Required :

  • After orientation at Cooley LLP, exhibit proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other firm applications
  • Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required
  • Ability to travel, as required
  • 4+ years of directly applicable experience (e.g., user research, product discovery process, technology use and adoption, quantitative evaluation)
  • Experience contributing to cross-functional projects involving users, product and design, knowledge management, technology and practicing lawyers and clients
  • Experience with technology usage data and metrics and ability to leverage data for insights and storytelling using data visualization applications such as Power BI and Tableau

Preferred :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Understanding of legal technology, emerging technology and AI
  • Experience with core large law technologies and enterprise technologies
  • Strong knowledge of product process (including design thinking and human centered design methodologies)
