Location: UCHealth Memorial Hosp Central, US:CO: Colorado Springs

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $25.80 - $8.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
Summary:
Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, treats patient population for therapy needs.
Responsibilities:
Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the occupational therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs. Assists with patient discharge planning.
Supervises support personnel according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards and other duties as assigned.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
CO State licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
