**The role you'll contribute:**
The role of the Program Director Pharmacy Clinical Services and Education is to develop and oversee the provision of clinical pharmacy services for the hospitals with in the Central Florida Division of AdventHealth, infusion centers and integrated delivery network in collaboration with senior pharmacy leadership and division executives. Design and implement initiatives that provide the highest quality care at the lowest cost. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. As integration of one Central Florida Division is fully deployed, development of strategy and best practice for the 'Division' includes consideration of CFD South, CFD North and other acquisitions deemed relevant by Division leadership.

+ Incumbent oversight of all Advent Health Central Florida Division clinical pharmacy improvement strategies aligned with organization and medical staff goals and objectives
+ Accountable for financial performance up to a of multimillion medication budget across Central Florida Division
+ Lead clinical pharmacy activities and initiatives in conjunction with Executive Pharmacy Director and Medical Director with and support of pharmacy directors and leaders in each campus. Following evidence based best practice, develop strategies to improve the use of medications while improving the overall quality of patient care.
+ Collaborates with Nursing and Pharmacy and Medical Staff Leadership to develop and implement evidence-based programs to improve patient care.
+ Oversees effectiveness of Formulary Management Subcommittee and Central Florida Division Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Provides for the Formulary's ongoing assessment via systematic evidence-based reviews and medication-use evaluations and development of guidelines and recommendations for the use of medications. Maintains and updates the drug formulary regularly.
Qualifications

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**
+ Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD)
**Education Preferred** :
+ Masters of Health Administration, Pharmacy, Pharmacy Administration, Business Administration, or other advanced degree in pharmacy or healthcare leadership
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:**
+ PGY-1 pharmacy resident or equivalent experience
+ Seven (7) years' clinical leadership experience
+ Five (5) years' contemporary hospital pharmacy practice experience
**Experience Preferred** :
+ PGY2 Specialty Residency or Fellowship or equivalent experience.
+ Five (5) years of pharmacy practice experience in a large hospital (greater than 500 bed institution) and integrated healthcare system (three or more hospitals in system)
**LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED** **:**
+ State of Florida licensure of Pharmacist
+ Board certification from the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BCPS)

Assists the Pharmacy Manager and/or Director of Pharmacy by providing leadership and direction of pharmacy services, activities and functions. Performs pharmacist duties as well.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Works closely with supervision to implement, monitor and report on relevant activities.
+ Performs the duties of a staff pharmacist as necessary and all other duties as assigned or required.

+ Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D)
+ Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of PA and/or NY at hire or sit for boards and obtain licensure within 120 days
+ 3 years pharmacy experience required or completion of a 2-year administrative pharmacy residency program

The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS) at Wayne State University (WSU) is searching for an experienced Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) in Pharmacy Practice with a practice site at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan in acute care/Internal Medicine.
The position is a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position with a clinical practice focused on internal medicine. The Department of Pharmacy Practice includes 30 faculty members and a comprehensive network of outstanding adjunct faculty. The department has affiliations within multiple area health systems and community pharmacy organizations in Southeastern Michigan, an area recognized nationally for progressive pharmacy practice. The department's vision is to be a nationally recognized leader for integrating education and research within our diverse urban community and regional health care environments. Its mission is to prepare highly qualified pharmacists, researchers, and leaders for success to improve health. Essential Functions (Job Duties)
The Assistant/Associate Professor (Clinical) will:
· Teach and coordinate courses and educational interactions in the PharmD curriculum commensurate with education, training and expertise.
· Establish an acute care clinical practice at Henry Ford Hospital that meets the needs of the institution and is a setting for learners at the student, PGY-1, and PGY-2 levels. This can include specialty internal medicine floors with emphasis on transitions of care.
· Develop collaborative scholarship and research in areas of clinical practice and teaching that lead to peer-reviewed publication.
· Precept and mentor students and residents in clinical practice and research.
· Develop and maintain course syllabi and educational materials ensuring compliance with educational objectives of the program and ACPE standards.
· Be assigned other teaching responsibilities or coordination within the program/department/college as necessary pertinent to demands of PharmD curriculum.
· Provide academic advisement to students.
· Interview and assist in assessment and selection of program applicants.
· Participate in program committees at the health system, Program, Department, and College levels commensurate with level of expertise and rank.

Fairview is looking for an Advanced Practice Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our East Bank location!
This position is responsible for preparing doses under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, as well as delivering medications to patient care units and partnering with pharmacists, nurses, and other key members of the healthcare team. There are opportunities to learn basic production and IV compounding. You must be motivated and willing to learn multiple areas of Inpatient Pharmacy, in a fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare, label, and deliver medications and supplies accurately and safely, as assigned and in accordance with all legal requirements and policies under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
+ Deliver medications and supplies to patient care areas.
+ Process medication orders or prescriptions and maintain patient profiles accurately in the inpatient and outpatient pharmacy information systems.
+ Enter patient information and/or medication orders into the EHR (electronic health record) and/or pharmacy systems
+ Operate equipment and use appropriate techniques when using automated medication stations, refilling, inventory tasks, basic reports, and maintenance.
+ Audit medication storage areas for proper storage of medications, dating and appropriate medication stock
+ Assist in processing returns and outdated drugs for return credit?
+ As assigned, ensure correct inventory, delivery and maintenance of files related to controlled substances throughout the hospital.
+ Complete work activities through effective management of time, tasks, and available information.
+ Teach and mentor co-workers.
+ Answer and appropriately triage incoming phone calls to various areas of the pharmacy department and/or staff.
+ Communicate appropriately, using all options available including e-mail
+ Meet and comply with all initial and ongoing competencies within the entity and department.
**Required:**
+ Completion of an accredited ASHP/ACPE Pharmacy Technician Training Program or threemonths of pharmacy technician experience required, or a bachelor's degree.
+ Current registration by the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy, and if first registered on/after 1/1/2013, completion of a MNBOP (Minnesota Board of Pharmacy) approved employer based or vocational/technical training program?
+ Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification, or expectation to attain within 18 months of hire.
