Position Purpose:
Cashiers play a critical customer service role by providing customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service. They process Checkout and/or Return transactions, as well as monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area. They proactively seek product/project knowledge to provide customers with information and identify selling opportunities. They follow all policies and procedures to ensure that shrink is minimized. A Head Cashier will position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks, approving Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in the supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and utilizing all available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of Cashier experience.

Utilize BigFix for patch management, compliance reporting, and remediation deployment. Provide technical support and configuration expertise for Shiji, Oracle Simphony, and other POS systems. Document technical procedures, remediation actions, and system configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve complex POS issues in real-time, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Participate in audits and ensure systems meet security and operational standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a POS Technical SME in enterprise environments. Strong hands-on experience with Shiji, Oracle Simphony, and other major POS platforms. Deep understanding of security protocols, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation for system administration and remediation. Experience with BigFix for endpoint management and patch deployment. Familiarity with Scout ISP and its role in POS infrastructure. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work onsite and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in cybersecurity, POS systems, or scripting languages. Experience in hospitality or retail environments.
