Northwest Pump & Equipment is seeking an Industrial Sales Representative in the Tacoma, WA area. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Industrial Compressor or Pump equipment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a knack for selling solutions, a history of on-target sales growth and a determination to win new business.
This position is a field sales role requiring frequent local travel in the designated territory, specifically Tacoma metro and the Olympic Peninsula, as well as occasional non-local travel for factory training and sales meetings. What does this role do?
- Manage and grow the assigned sales territory, by phone, email, and in-person visits
- Document all sales leads and opportunities effectively in the Dynamics CRM system
- Leverage the customer list to develop a sales growth plan for repeat orders.
- Develop new business by calling on existing accounts and engineering firms, participating in trade shows, as well as cold calling new accounts
- Professionally represent Northwest Pump & Equipment by educating customers and generating profitable new business
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of compressed air systems or industrial pump equipment and electrical components
- Ability to continually develop a higher level of expertise regarding product lines and industry best practices; typical products for this market include stationary compressor products, nitrogen generators, parts and accessories, PD blowers, piping systems and valves, industrial pumps, and related accessories.
- Increase customer awareness of ancillary products including service packages, replacement parts and peripheral equipment; display or demonstrate products and respond effectively to customer's questions
- Provide superior customer service by investigating and resolving customer issues along with your technical and service colleagues. Support technical services growth by working with service technicians to help customers achieve their goals.

**Pay Ranges**
$ 9,053.00 - 60,138.00
This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate's skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. As a sales representative in our Sports Medicine specialty, you'll be the face of Stryker products. Acting as a sales lead, you'll prepare and participate in leading sales pitches and demo meetings as well as working with cross-divisional sales reps to create strategic goals and targets. You'll participate in trade shows, analyze market territory, manage inventory reports, negotiate prices and terms of transactions, and solve product problems for customers. **What you need**
+ 2-5 years of experience working in an outside sales position (medical related fields preferred).
+ A minimum education level of a bachelor's degree or equivalent of five (5) years of commercial sales experience or medical field experience including operating room experience?

**Program locations/dates/schedule:**
+ Conditions** :
+ Primarily on-site in a retail environment, standing up to 10 hours per day
+ May require lifting of heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
+ Weekend and evening availability as needed for customer demand.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ **Customer Engagement** : Greet and assist customers on the sales floor, providing knowledgeable guidance on specific roadshow products.
+ **Product Expertise** : Demonstrate knowledge of roadshow products educating and illustrating key features and benefits to consumers.
+ **Consultative Selling** : Use a consultative approach to understand customer needs, lifestyle requirements, and budget, helping them make informed decisions.

+ **Order Processing** : Guide customers through the order process, filling out the appropriate forms for smooth check out experience.
+ **Roadshow Display Setup & Teardown:** Work with store personnel to locate event materials in back area of warehouse and receive direction on where the display area is to be located. Setup booth area according to previously communicated directions and assist with teardown and packing once the roadshow concludes.
+ **Store Maintenance** : Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the display area and sales floor to ensure a welcoming environment.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Qualifications** :
+ Proven experience in retail or sales, knowledge of the Costco working environment is a plus.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-oriented approach.
+ Ability to learn and retain product information quickly and explain complex details simply.
+ Ability to work in a team and independently in a fast-paced retail environment.
