The Role
We're looking for an experienced Principal Product Designer to join our small but mighty Point of Sale Design team. As part of the Foundations workstream, we're responsible for the core POS experience for both sellers and buyers. This means evolving and reinventing the shared surface areas of our Point of Sale to better serve our sellers. We work closely with our audience-specific design and product teams, and our hardware partners.
The future of our POS will utilize AI to streamline workflows and deliver unique and delightful experiences for both sellers and buyers. We're looking for someone who can bring strong visual and interaction design skills, excellent prototyping ability, and a systems-thinking mindset. As one of the most senior designers on the team, you'll lead bigger projects from vision to shipped product, and raise the execution and vision bar on our team.
You Will
- Lead vision-heavy design projects as we aim to set a new standard for core Point of Sale experiences.
- Lead by showing, often using prototypes to visualize and explore projects and build internal and cross-functional support to bring them to life.
- Collaborate closely with leadership (design/product/engineering)
- 12+ years of relevant Product Design experience
- A strong understanding of artificial intelligence is essential, encompassing both its application in design processes and its integration within design outcomes.
- Strong visual design abilities, along with a comprehension of how motion can enhance user experiences and create delight.
- A great ability to collaborate with the broader design team, as well as product and engineering

The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple inquiries at once
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
