Primary Purpose

The Field Representative assists the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in all aspects of a construction project or projects, including ensuring compliance with contract provisions, contract administration and monitoring, and evaluating and making recommendations related to project budgets and schedules, and developing recovery plans related to quality, budget, and schedule. The Field Representative undertakes assignments that require expertise in construction inspection, management and supervision, and the exercise of independent judgment with routine and moderately complex construction matters.

Essential Functions
  • Monitor and observe construction, installation, and testing of building systems and technology, operation, and maintenance of buildings and/or facilities on a daily basis ensuring compliance with construction documents.
  • Coordinate the work of all trades.
  • Read, interpret, and comprehend contract plans, specifications, addenda, bidding documents, contracts and other related materials and recommend approaches to resolving issues to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure quality is maintained in accordance with the original intent of construction documents through coordination with design consultants/construction managers/contractors and/or management of material testing and inspection consultants, review of daily field reporting, and coordination with internal quality resources.
  • Ensure compliance with contract provisions and the quality of design and construction work performed by architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Conduct or participate in mechanical, electrical, and structural quality assurance field inspections.
  • Review bid advertisements, prepare bid summaries, review bidder qualifications, and recommend construction contract awards to Procurement.
  • Schedule and supervise required testing and commissioning and monitor results.
  • Represent DASNY as liaison to client agency. Interact with client agency and make recommendations regarding project approach.
  • Conduct and/or attend joint scope, job, progress, and coordination meetings.
  • Prepare notes and minutes of meetings and coordinate the associated follow-up.
  • Schedule, coordinate and monitor project activities among applicable DASNY staff/units, consultants, contractors, governmental agencies, and other project entities through project closeout.
  • Ensure consultant and contractor compliance with all DASNY procedures.
  • Coordinate consultant and contractor deliverables through thorough understanding of contract deliverables, pre-construction meetings, construction manager orientations, project health assessments, monthly project meetings, and contract closeout checklists.
  • Continuously evaluate the performance of architects, engineers, contractors, and construction managers.
  • Utilize project data to prepare status reports and other specialized reports.
  • Estimate costs and monitor the project budget, making recommendations to the Project Manager as needed.
  • Review and monitor project schedule; report observations and make related recommendations to Project Manager.
  • Review consultant and contractor progress payments.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and make recommendations to Project Manager related to change order proposals.
  • Assist in the evaluation of claims and make recommendations to Project Manager.
  • Develop and maintain records for the project and/or program including contract documents, files, logs, lists and other records, and utilize project management/reporting systems for recording all project activities.
  • Consult with code enforcement agencies regarding the interpretation and application of building codes and regulations.
  • Maintain liaison with customer agencies and assist in the resolution of issues where appropriate.
  • Manage assigned projects under the direction of the Project Manager.
  • Assist in the development, documentation and implementation of procedures and internal controls.
  • May provide service to multiple client agencies over a specified geographic area.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys and inspections of existing and potential DASNY facilities to determine design and construction deficiencies and to determine rehabilitation requirements.
  • May train and evaluate employees.
  • Assist with the development, documentation, and implementation of procedures.
  • Assist with the assessment/development and implementation of internal controls and participate in the review and testing of same.
  • Undertake special assignments as directed.
  • Must maintain regular attendance in accordance with DASNY attendance and leave policies.
  • Must adhere to the NYS Information Security Policy Standards established and issued by the Office of Information Technology Services. (Standards can be found on the Intranet).

Supervision of employees may be required.

Physical/Mental/Visual Demands

Weekly travel may be required, depending on assignment, using public transportation, DASNY vehicle, rental vehicle or personal vehicle. This travel may include overnight stays at public accommodations and related establishments. Requires exposure to weather and temperature extremes, loud noises, heights (climbing ladders, scaffolding, etc.) and work safety hazards (chemicals, fumes, etc.). Requires physical mobility, strength, dexterity and coordination. Requires endurance, concentration and complex and time-pressured decision-making. Requires the ability to see, hear, smell, touch and distinguish colors. Must be available to occasionally work a modified work schedule or extended workday hours.

Work Environment

Workstation and location vary depending on assignment. May be standard office environment or a construction site.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus two years' experience as a Junior Field Representative or Assistant Project Manager; or

Bachelor's degree plus three years relevant experience; or

Associate's degree plus four years' experience as a DASNY Assistant Project Manager or Junior Field Representative; or

Associate's degree plus five years relevant experience; or

High school diploma or equivalent plus eight years relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a construction industry related field plus five years construction industry experience with public or private projects including construction inspection or supervision of major public construction projects. Minimum two years supervisory experience. Working knowledge and experience with construction systems (preferably Oracle Contract Manager and PMWeb, along with P6 scheduling.

Founded in 1971 in Long Island City, Queens **,** LaGuardia Community College is one of seven community colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY). The Program of Radiologic Technology at LaGuardia Community College seeks to fill two positions at the Lecturer level to teach courses in the Associate Degree Radiologic Technology Degree Program. The successful candidate will have to contribute to curriculum and program development; serve on department, college and university committees; advise and mentor students; and work on other department related projects as needed. Day, evening, weekend.
Other Duties include:
+ Maintain professional certification
+ Actively participate in the Radiologic Science Program Advisory Board Committee
+ Coordinate Student Radiation Safety to include maintaining student monitoring and assisting with keeping radiographic equipment in quality working order
+ Assist with the Development of new clinical affiliations for the clinical practicum sites and maintaining and updating as needed the clinical contracts for all student clinical practicum sites

**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's degree or higher in a health or educational related field.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification along with New York State Registration as a Radiologic Technologist
Three years clinical experience in radiology required. Also required are the ability to teach successfully and ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution.
All faculty will be required to submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
**COMPENSATION**
$64,426 -$76,870
Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

**POSITION DETAILS**
The Registrar's Office at Queens College is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Coordinator to join our team. This coordinator-level position reports directly to the Enrollment Registrar Manager and plays a key role in supporting the office's mission to manage student records, course registrations, and academic policies effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students in a fast-paced, student-centered environment. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of the academic administrative functions of the college while ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Enrollment Registrar Coordinator will be responsible for the following duties:
**-** Degree Audits & Graduation:Evaluate degree audits, notify applicants/departments of deficiencies, and manage graduation procedures and deadlines.
**-** Registration & Scheduling: Coordinate registration services, including grade entries/changes, semester course offerings, final exams, and classroom scheduling. Develop production calendars and maintain the college's Schedule of Classes. Develop and drafts production calendars, processes, and procedures for creation and maintenance of the Schedule of Classes.
**-** Catalog Updates & Compliance: Collaborate with the Course Catalog Coordinator to ensure catalog changes are reflected in class offerings. Scribe updates to campus catalogs in line with governance approvals.

**-** Student Verifications: Manage student enrollment verification processes for loans, insurance, and state boards. Process ePermits, Pass/No Credit requests, and WN corrections.
**-** Student Support & Communication: Act as a primary contact for advisors and students, addressing inquiries and providing support via email, phone, and written correspondence.
**-** Systems & Processes: Assist in processing the emails using the student ticketing system (Freshdesk), assist with term activation, batch enrollment appointments, and senior auditor registration. Troubleshoot registration issues.

**-** Graduation Certification: Perform graduation reviews and degree certifications each semester.

Finance Purchasing Agent (Multiple Positions)
**GENERAL DUTIES**
This class of positions encompasses responsible purchasing of a variety of materials with varying degree of latitude. For independent initiative and judgment and supervisory work of a major subdivision in a large bureau or purchasing organization. There are three assignment levels within this class of positions. All personnel perform related work.
Assignment Level I
Under general supervision, with limited latitude for independent or unreviewed action or decision in accordance with standard procedures and legal requirements, performs work of limited difficulty and responsibility in one or more of the following areas:
- Is responsible for the purchase of a volume and variety of materials in assigned fields.
- Reviews purchasing requisitions, checking descriptions and specifications to determine their accuracy and adequacy and consults with department and agencies to adjust possible discrepancies.
- Analyzes market conditions in relation to recent, current, and anticipated purchases.
- Prepares proposals for bidding on items to be purchased.
- Develops lists of prospective bidders.
- Reviews bids and quotations to determine most reasonable price in relation to market conditions and responsibility of bidders and makes recommendations based on these determinations.
- Examines samples of items to determine compliance with specifications or standards, suggesting substitute items when desirable.
- Interviews and corresponds with vendors, business representatives and contractors.
- Analyzes trade journals, catalogs, directories and other technical material with respect to market and price conditions.
- Prepares necessary purchasing documents in accordance with procurement requirements.
- May supervise Assistant Purchasing Agents and clerical personnel.
- Keeps records and makes copies.
Assignment Level II
Under general supervision, with considerable latitude for independent or unreviewed action or direction, in accordance with standard procedures and legal requirements, handles more complex problems in one or more of the following:
- Is responsible for the purchasing of materials in assigned fields which involve a large expenditure of money and the more complex purchasing problems that are continual in nature, due to such factors as seasonal variations, number and variety of items, frequency and extent of emergency purchases, complicated and non-standard nature of items purchased, and liabilities and consequences resulting from purchasing errors.
- May incidentally perform duties described under Assignment Level I.
Assignment Level III
Under direction, with wide latitude for independent or unreviewed action or decision, performs supervisory work in one or more of the following, after having performed duties at Assignment Level I and/or II at least two years:
- Supervises and coordinates the purchasing activities of a subdivision consisting of two or more commodity units.
- Makes investigations in relation to purchase and handles special assignments as required.
- Reviews contract and calendar proposals before advertising.
- Approves recommendations for contract awards, contract modifications, buy-against transactions, formal requests for time extension on contracts, etc.
- Supervises various activities in connection with open market transactions.
- Supervises personnel in the titles of Assistant Purchasing Agents and other clerical personnel.
- May incidentally perform duties described under lower Assignment Levels.
- May, during temporary absence of immediate superior, perform the duties of that individual.

**CAMPUS SPECIFIC INFORMATION**
New York City College of Technology (City Tech) of the City University of New York (CUNY) is a comprehensive college in downtown Brooklyn, offering associate and baccalaureate degree in technology and health related degree programs, other career-oriented degrees and liberal arts transfer degrees in its Schools of Arts and Sciences, Technology and Design, and Professional Studies.
The Purchasing Office at City Tech welcomes applications for two (2) Finance Purchasing Agent positions. These positions are in provisional status. Continued employment is contingent upon taking and passing a civil service examination when it is offered by CUNY.
Reporting to the Finance Procurement Specialist, the Purchasing Agent will:
+ Conduct the procurement process for materials and services for assigned departments, ensuring alignment with departmental needs and budget constraints.
+ Review and process requisitions for accuracy, consulting with departments to resolve discrepancies before creating purchase orders for approval and dispatch.
+ Monitor annual service dates for critical renewals (e.g., software and maintenance contracts) to ensure timely submissions.
+ Update web pages and online forms related to procurement activities for accuracy.
+ Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, tracking purchasing activities, and resolving issues promptly.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
1. High school graduation or its equivalent and four years of full-time, paid experience in purchasing a large volume and/or variety of materials, supplies, or equipment, two years of which may have been in a field closely related to large-scale purchasing such as inspection or specification writing covering a large volume and/or variety of materials, supplies or equipment; OR
2. A baccalaureate degree, from an accredited college, in marketing , materials testing, mathematics, merchandising, purchasing, retailing, economics, or finance and one (1) year of full-time, paid experience in purchasing a large volume of materials, supplies or equipment; OR
3. A combination of education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 or 2.
**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following knowledge, skills, and abilities are preferred:
+ Familiarity with CUNYfirst & CUNYBuy.
+ Must be flexible and able to learn new systems & handle a demanding & expanding workload.
**COMPENSATION**
New Hire: $52,820*
Incumbent: $59,689
*This amount reflects a 13% salary suppression in effect for the first 24 months of employment only.

**GENERAL DUTIES**
Under supervision, performs work of ordinary difficulty in cleaning public buildings and their immediate grounds; performs related light labor.
There is no Assignment Level for this position. All personnel perform related work. This specification describes typical assignments; related duties may be assigned as needed.
- Sweeps, damp mops, and wet mops office floors, toilets, corridors, lobbies, and other assigned floor areas.
- Cleans washbasins and other toilet room facilities.
- Washes walls by hand with a brush or by using an electric machine.
- Scrubs floors with an electric machine; waxes and polishes floors.
- Hand scrubs stairs and stair landings.
- Empties waste basket and disposes of refuse.
- Vacuums and cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
- Dusts and removes and cleans window coverings such as blinds.
- Performs shoulder high dusting of walls.
- Dusts and polishes furniture and metal work.
- Cleans mirrors and glass in bookcase, doors, and restrooms.
- Washes electric light fixtures.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies in toilets.
- Sweeps sidewalks and removes snow from sidewalks; washes sidewalks and lower portion of buildings with brush and hose.
- Replaces bulbs and fuses.
- Attends a low pressure heating plant.
- May occasionally operate an elevator, move furniture, or act as watch person.

-Minimum of 2 years of custodial or related experience (preferred).

-Experience cleaning and maintaining restrooms, including replenishing supplies.
-Experience mopping, scrubbing, and waxing floors, as well as dusting and polishing furniture.
-Experience vacuuming and cleaning rugs/carpets.
-Experience working in a diverse environment, with a preference for experience in a higher education setting.
-Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and the campus community.
