**About you:**
+ 4-year degree in Quantitative disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience
+ 3+ years of professional experience in applied data sciences or equivalent industry experience
+ Good knowledge and experience developing ML algorithms, optimization, simulation and statistical models

**Primary Responsibilities Include**
+ Leading front-facing project management for Sourcing with business partners in Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Operations on New Product Development (NPI) projects.
+ Leading sourcing deliverables within Acuity's 5-phase Product Development System (PDS) process.
+ Using qualitative and quantitative inputs, engaging in the product business case for project feasibility.

+ Experience selecting and sourcing diverse raw materials, electronic components, and mechanical/electromechanical components is required.
+ Working knowledge of the Oracle procurement module is required.
+ Prior experience in Sourcing Category Management is highly preferred.

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a New Product Sourcing Specialist to join the Data Center Power & Control Division in Canonsburg, PA.

This is a newly created position to help drive business expansion.

The New Product Sourcing Specialist is responsible for leading and sourcing efforts for new product development (NPD), ensuring cost-effective, timely, and compliant product launches. Reporting to the Director of Global Strategic Sourcing with a dotted line to Engineering, this role requires expertise in supplier management, compliance verification, and project execution. The NPD Sourcing Specialist ensures that all the products are developed and handed over effectively to run efficiently in our factories from new product development to production.

What Will You Do?

  • Conduct RFQ and analyze quotations from different suppliers, utilizing the (TCO) total cost of ownership tools and the cost of the parts, components, and multisource for risk mitigation and on-time delivery of the project.
  • Issue POs and expedite materials to support NPD launches for an on-time launch.
  • Work with internal teams (product, engineering, operation, sourcing, and purchasing) to implement effective supplier strategies from NPD to product life cycle to minimize supply risk for Starline.
  • Work closely with the sourcing team, product development teams, and legal departments to ensure compliance is integrated into the procurement process. Assesses potential suppliers to ensure they have necessary compliance capabilities and certifications.
  • Identify potential compliance risks associated with sourced materials and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stays updated on evolving environmental and safety regulations and ensures suppliers adhere to them (specifically PFAS).
  • Reviews and verifies material declarations from suppliers, including information on chemical composition and compliance with regulations like REACH or RoHS. Maintains ERP data with up-to-date compliance status.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for parts and tooling, and project timelines to ensure we launch NPD on time, on cost, and on spec.
  • Update and maintain the Costed Bill of Material (CBOM) for each NPD project.
  • Manage supplier's On Time Delivery (OTD) performance during prototype/development phases (Starline NPD Gates).
  • Manage the PPAP orders for new parts when the PO is placed, quality inspection, operation, and engineering sign-off.
  • Work with production buyers to transfer material purchasing responsibility once the new parts have obtained approved PPAP status.
  • Manage NPD-related ECOs and sustain ECOs that affect new part changes related to the 3-year product plan.
  • Conduct and facilitate technical design reviews with suppliers, in order to confirm the functionality of the part/component and manufacturability to support engineering.
  • Lead for sourcing project updates, including risks and mitigation plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of experience purchasing materials
  • Experience of a high concentration in steel, copper, or electronics markets preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • CPM/PMP/APICS (CPIM or CSCP) certification preferred
  • MRP or ERP software experience, Infor Cloud preferred
  • Familiarity with Assent and/or Jagger is a plus.

**Overview**
**THE ROLE:**
The Category Manager, Global Product Sourcing will be responsible for leadingpackaging categories of direct spend across North America with the ability to grow globally. As the corporate authority for specific packaging direct categories, this person will be the point person for supplier communication, pricing, contracts, and strategic commodity supply decision making. The individual selected for this position will lead cross-functional teams and projects for 2-3 global categories to improve total value, generate supply-chain efficiencies, maintain the relationships with strategic supplier partners and introduce supplier innovation and technologies across all Herbalife business units.
In addition, this role will be encouraged to utilize their knowledge to improve and leverage Herbalife's buying power to source materials required for Herbalife's products at a driven rate and streamline material use across key finished goods suppliers.
**HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE:**
+ Lead global cross-functional packagingfocusedteamson integrating and optimizing the global supply chain for sophisticated categories or commodity groups across world-wide locations.
+ Drive long term strategies for global, cross-functional teams to generate supply chain improvement and efficiencies through the optimization of processes, designs, materials, and suppliers.
+ Reducecoston a regular basis and be accountable forrealizing $500M - $1MM in related cost savings or cost avoidance per calendar year.
+ Develop global business plans and multi-year strategies with key strategic supplier partners to develop product and supply chain innovation and proactively introduce new technologies using key global partners and prospects' full capabilities.
+ Support Research & Development through conceptualization and development of new products by providing formula component costing, commodity expertise and supply chain risk assessments.
+ Negotiate and implements supply agreements with favorable terms to Herbalife.
+ Track market conditions for key commodities and work proactively with suppliers and with finished goods manufacturers to minimize potential cost increases and realize potential cost savings.
+ Access and engage executive level contacts at suppliers garnering support for mutual global supply chain initiatives and objectives.
+ Lead two-way communication with suppliers in global categories to ensure challenges and issues receive appropriate response and resolution.
+ Conduct the supplier segmentation process and negotiate global alignment to leverage spend within the multi-year global commodity strategy.
+ Close partnership with Packaging Engineering, ESG, Quality, R&D, Marketing, CI, and Operations.

+ Consistent track record of exceeding goals in cost savings and supplier performance.
+ Experience working in an environment where Sourcing is an influencer rather than a decision maker.
