TITLE: Project Manager / Product Development Engineer
HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
DUTIES: Manage PET (polyethylene terephthalate) Product Development Engineering Projects. Resolve Project related issues to maximize achieving project objectives. Communicate project related issues and problems where additional assistance is required promptly. Preliminary Project assignments for Quotations. Identify processes not meeting expected efficiency & Quality performance. Provide technical guidance and actively support the plants with processes not meeting expected efficiency & Quality results. Provide daily on-site guidance & support to the plant teams as technical problems occur. Participate in identifying plant training needs and provide documented technical training to plant Machine Operators & Technicians. Other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering, engineering, or related.
Five (5) years in any occupation with experience in Development, management, engineering or related experience must include: Experience with Polyethylene Terephthalate container packaging and design; injection and blow molding equipment including tooling / molds for the manufacture of PET containers; Injection Stretch Blow Molding (ISBM) processing expertise for both the 1 and 2 step machine platforms in container manufacturing including injection molding of PET preforms; and Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting expertise on ISBM equipment.
Office based in and reports to company headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Will travel to various client sites throughout the U.S. and outside of the U.S for up to 30% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere to complete work assignments at client sites across the U.S.

The Project Manager, New Product Development will be responsible for all aspects of the project life cycle. The Project Manager will manage projects in support of the execution of product roadmaps, product development, launches, and marketing, to ensure alignment with market demands, technology trends, and competitive landscapes for manufactured products.
This position supports our Water Heater Division, located in Roswell, GA .
Responsibilities
- Utilize project management expertise to lead cross-functional teams in the delivery of projects.
- Communicate a clear vision of project goals and objectives and facilitate team cohesion to ensure milestones are achieved.
- Identify and manage risks across multiple projects and establish contingency plans as needed.
- Lead resolution of project issues.
- Ensure adherence of project management practices through accountability and training.
- Develop and maintain relationships with functional owners and stakeholders including gaining support of assigned projects.
- Report on status of projects at stakeholder review meetings.
- Communicate best practices and feedback to teams, senior leadership, and the larger project management community.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 7 years of project management experience related to product marketing and engineering of manufactured products.
- Strong knowledge of product development processes, including design, costing, manufacturing, sourcing, and commercialization.
- Comfortable leading project multiple complex projects at one time.
- Able to communicate complex ideas in a simple and effective manner.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally to develop and refine shared business processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a matrix team environment.
- Ability to be detail oriented without losing sight of the big picture.
- MBA or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with Clarity PPM or other project management tools.
- HVAC, Water Heater or appliance industry experience.
