**Summary**
The Plant Production Operator is responsible for operating manual bagging machines that fill bags with salt product on Lines 1 and 6.
**Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to the following:**

+ Inspect manual bagging machine at beginning of production run.
+ Check that machine settings and standards are correct for bag size.
+ Change and set up date codes.
+ Select proper product for production run.
+ Manually hang bag and press lever to fill.
+ Manually pick up full bag and place on pallet.
+ Monitor products for correct amount in bags, weight, quality of content, correct date code on every bag, and correct bag sealing.
+ Monitor manual bagging machine for proper functioning and report problems to Maintenance or Shift Supervisor.
+ Monitor bagging area for cleanliness and perform housekeeping as required.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on bagging machine using hand tools and lubricants.
+ Set up bagging machine for next shift.
+ Record checks performed, weights and number of materials used.
+ Perform housekeeping in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule
+ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Production Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing process. This involves inspecting materials and products, identifying and addressing quality issues, and maintaining accurate records. Activities and duties may vary depending upon site specific needs. Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
- Perform material inspection and sorting, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections, utilizing appropriate measuring tools and techniques to verify product conformance.
- Accurately record inspection data and maintain detailed quality logs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action investigations, contributing to the resolution of quality issues.
- Collaborate with production personnel to ensure quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles and safety protocols.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing process enhancements to improve quality and efficiency.
- Train and mentor new employees on quality procedures and work instructions.
- Operate and maintain basic production equipment, ensuring proper setup and calibration.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to obtain Lift Truck Operator's license.
- Able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests.
- Demonstrate proficiency with computer applications.
- Maintain a service and quality focus, addressing issues and communicating root causes.

We are seeking a dynamic and results driven Production Operator to join our Building and Finishing Riverside Team. This position contributes to the manufacturing process of Stucco, EIFS, Grouts, and other products. Sets up, start-up/shut down, loads and generally operate production equipment/machinery. Receive and follow instructions from Production Lead/Production Supervisor.
- Operate machines according to the operating procedures.
- Operate a forklift and palletizer. Lift the raw materials and place on top of blender grate with manual assistance from other team members.
- Clean the blenders and other machinery with a pressure washer. Keep work area tidy after each day's work.
- Report any manufacturing incidents to the Lead Supervisor.
- Perform daily visual inspections of machinery and surrounding areas.
- Monitor control panels and make adjustments as needed.
- Other duties as required.
- Minimum of 1-year related production experience preferred.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, physically demanding environment, Able to lift and/or move large product bags.
- Team player and able to work independently.
- Must maintain good attendance - be at work on time as needed, available for OT as needed.
- Must have attention to detail, technical comprehension/abilities, Computer literate.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions in the English language.
- Math - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
