Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs all work according to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
  • Know and follow company start and stop procedures.
  • Performs daily greasing and oil checks on crushers and screens.
  • Keeps walkways clear of any debris and reports spillage issues to superintendent.
  • Performs daily guarding inspections and plant checks and reports any maintenance issues to superintendent.
  • Inspects screen media to ensure proper condition for maximum production.
  • Keeps operating booth clean and free from any inappropriate materials.
  • Carries out duties and work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of quarry operations and work crew.
  • When needed/required assists workers in solving production problems.
  • Fills out necessary paperwork daily.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications



Required Skills, Education, and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution OR one month of related experience and/or training
    • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION**
This person will be a member of an operations team in a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import and distribution facility. The is a union represented position. (UWUA Local 369)
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
+ Acts as a team member with all employees.
+ Complies with all Constellation policies and procedures.
+ Perform the duties of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal operator in a 12-hour daily rotational shift environment, including holiday, weekends, and nights.
+ Load LNG trucks; and monitor terminal functions at the discretion of the Shift Foreman. Which includes reporting, documenting and computer skills.
+ Provide routine maintenance and security tasks.
**_OTHER FUNCTIONS_**
+ Trained on environmental procedures annually.
+ Operates the facility recognizing the environmental consequences of actions taken.

Specific experience monitoring plant operations, performing maintenance and repairs on CAT G3500 and G3600 gas engines or similar piston engines, controls, generators and ancillary equipment is desired.
**Introductory Employment Period:**
Your employment with Archaea will begin with an introductory period of **90 days** , starting from your first day of work. The introductory period is intended to support your transition into the role and provide an opportunity for both you and the Company to ensure a strong mutual fit. During this time, we'll work together to assess how your performance, conduct, and reliability align with the expectations of the position and the values of our organization, while also offering guidance and feedback to help you succeed.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
The Plant Operator is responsible for daily operations of the facility's central energy plant, and main plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Utilizing a working knowledge of boilers, chillers and other plant equipment, the Plant Operator ensures the plant consistently runs efficiently, safely, and smoothly.

**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**
+ Oversees the safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally sound operation of all plant equipment.
+ Properly operates all equipment related to the steam generator, solar field, steam turbines, and plant auxiliary equipment during routine, abnormal, and emergency conditions.
+ Thoroughly understands and executes the equipment LOTO procedure.
+ Monitors and records data available through the use of various instruments, recording charts, annunciator systems, computer platforms, and other monitoring devices.
+ Utilizes and professionally maintains shift logbooks following protocol.
+ Communicates information clearly both orally and written. Follows required communication protocols for two-way radio, telephone, and face to face communication.
+ Troubleshoots and provides diagnosis to either solve operational problems or provide thorough information in referring the problem to the maintenance group.
+ Generates and reviews work requests for execution of equipment repair.
+ Assists in corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance for which they are qualified to safely and efficiently perform, to include the use of tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
+ Actively participates in all required regulatory training and demonstrates the initiative to engage in self-directed training and study required to advance to the position of Control Operator.
+ Assists in training other Operators.
