Summary
Envipco is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Production Supervisor. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the assembly of Envipco’s Reverse Vending Machines in our US facility. This includes leading a team of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblers in the production of new and refurbished equipment. Additional responsibilities will include leading the team in following operational processes and adhering to quality and safety standards, as well as maintaining production flow, efficiency, and adherence to the daily/weekly/monthly schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead the production line in daily operations in the assembly of new and refurbished Reverse Vending Machines. This includes ensuring that Production meets all schedule requirements, goals, and customer demand, while monitoring efficiency and addressing any potential bottlenecks or delays.
Monitor the assembly of components and machines across all platforms to ensure compliance with Envipco’s quality standards and the goal of delivering machines to Quality Inspection ‘Right the First Time’.
Become proficient in all Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Assemblies to function as the primary trainer of new team members and assist as an assembler/operator as required.
Assist Production with troubleshooting mechanical or Electro-Mechanical issues and collaborate with Quality and/or Engineering to ensure their resolution.
Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere on the production line. Able to communicate effectively with diverse personalities,
Assist management with conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback and offering support for employee development.
Must have the ability to multitask and be flexible enough to deal with directional shifts, as schedules may change due to new customer orders and changing demand.
Qualifications/Experience:
· High School diploma required, completed college coursework a plus
· 3 to 5 years of work experience in a manufacturing / assembly environment is required.
· Supervisory experience (professional full-time, co-op, or military) strongly desired
· Computer literate with basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
· Hungry for challenge, knowledge, and growth
· Aptitude and drive to achieve results both independently and in a group
· Ability to take and give direction, responsibility, and lead by example
· Ability to lift 35 to 50 lbs. and team lift more.

The Production Supervisor ensures manufacturing operations prioritize safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement.
This position will also expand supervisory coverage for 24/7 operations, including weekend coverage as needed.
**Primary Responsibilities**
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Ensuring a safe working environment by modeling safe behaviors, leading audits/inspections, correcting unsafe practices, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring accurate work methods and equipment use.
+ Providing direct supervision to production hourly employees.
+ Handling shift administrative activities such as time and absence reporting, attendance control, vacation planning, and overtime.
+ Reviewing employees' performance and providing valuable input.
+ Driving continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, quality, and cost.
+ Planning daily work schedules, settling priorities, allocating work assignments, and supervising production processes to meet specific requirements.
+ Championing lean manufacturing efforts and projects.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Minimum of three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Minimum of one (1) year supervisory and/or people leadership experience
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree
+ Experience in medical, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing (cGMP, ISO 13485)
+ Ability to drive and inspire change and lead cross-functional teams
+ Training and/or experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing

**Compensation and Benefits**
The salary range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $66,000.00-$95,000.00.

**Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities**
+ Maintains a safe working environment for all employees.
+ Utilizes lean manufacturing tools to implement processes that eliminate manufacturing waste. Works
+ Closely with management on continuous improvement projects using lean tools (i.e., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Setup Reduction) and metrics.
+ Directly supervises the 1st shift employees and works cooperatively with other functional managers, supervisors and leaders to optimize the value streams.
+ Leads the production schedule plan provided by Planning and the Value Stream Manager.
+ Responsible for training new hires and ensuring operators are cross- training to minimize downtime.

+ Works with value streams to minimize rejects and ensures quality processes are followed.
+ Requests equipment maintenance or repair of tools to maximize production efficiency and minimize down time.
+ Participates in production machine lay-out planning, and modifications including considerations with respect to production flow, safety, power, and operating requirements.
+ Leads shift MDI meetings, ensuring consistent messaging across both shifts of employees.
+ Updates Value Stream Manager on a daily basis of performance for the shift.
+ Assists employees to resolve problems involving work issues and morale.
+ Completes performance management for all direct reports.
+ Works with point person for shipping and receiving to manage the inventory and cycle counts.
+ Responsible for the safety of the employees and facility on 1st shift including reporting and documenting incident reports.
+ Responsible for the supervision and safety of vendors.
+ Will lift and carry up to 40 pounds occasionally.
+ Works both in a manufacturing and office environment.
+ Required to work hours other than set shift schedule, including weekends, to support business need.

**Qualifications/Skills**
+ 3-5 years Production Supervisory or Management Lead experience preferred.
+ Experience in a machining and/or assembly operation.
+ College Degree (Associates and/or above) preferred.
+ Experience utilizing JD Edwards ERP system preferred.
+ Experienced in continuous improvement projects and training.
