The Role
The Professional Services Consultant will oversee implementations and consultative engagements for the Proofpoint Data Security products. This includes Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) Insider Threat Management (ITM) On-Premise and SaaS, Email DLP, Endpoint DLP, Cloud Application Security Broker (CASB), SaaS Isolation & Adaptive Access Control (AAC), and Proofpoint Isolation. This individual will develop new services, implement best practices, and assist in customer escalations as needed. The ideal candidate has the demonstrated ability to ensure successful service delivery and customer success as well as third party DLP solutions (Microsoft + Symantec DLP offerings) to support migrating legacy solutions to the Proofpoint Data Security Posture Platform. Proofpoint's Consultants are service delivery experts who manage and align client business priorities with data protection strategies. As subject matter experts on a wide spectrum of information security models, best practices, and operational strategies, our Consultants reduce clients' security risk by mapping technology to organizational processes and resources. This role is challenged with delivering innovative ideas and solutions that derive measurable results. This is a critical and visible role as it involves support for several of Proofpoint's top accounts. The Consultant must be confident in working with technical resources, analysts, project sponsors, and executive levels to provide excellent service delivery and communication which includes product deliverables, conducting conference calls/meetings, consulting process reviews/workshops, and briefings. The position requires the ability to work with non-technical managers and executives to develop technical and business requirements for their company's custom data security program.
Your day-to-day
- Thoroughly scope engagements through assessing the client's operations and business processes, gathering key business and functional requirements, and making recommendations to optimize Proofpoint technologies.
- Provide strategic program design solutions that allow clients to identify, protect, monitor, and manage their most protected data, and people.
- Work with the broader Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product teams to address customer concerns and manage escalations.
- Work closely with your corresponding sales organization to ensure customer needs are met and customer satisfaction continues to rank high.
- Present updates to management identifying risks, challenges, and proposed solutions.
What you bring to the team
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in IT consulting or related fields.
- Familiarity with Data Security: Data Security Posture Management, Insider Threat Management, Endpoint Security, and/or Cloud Security concepts preferred.
- Proficiency in Windows Server environment; experience with web infrastructure components like IIS and MS SQL is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of Linux infrastructure.
- Exposure to Microsoft or Symantec DLP solutions is desirable.
- 1-2 years of industry experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service, with the confidence to engage in-person and virtually.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and follow through to completion.
- Candidate must demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written English, with regard to technical topics. Spanish technical written and verbal communication is desirable.

+ Performing Quality Control ("QC") of case investigations, requests for information, and case escalations
+ Assessing potential AML and sanctions risks as they arise throughout case investigations
+ Making final decisions regarding case dispositions
+ Holding meetings with Project Leadership to discuss investigator performance, issue management, and case escalation decisions
+ Providing feedback and input on case investigations, as required
+ Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
+ Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Qualifications
Required
+ Minimum 4+ years of experience in private or public sector AML and/or sanctions-focused activities including Project Management Experience
+ 4+ Years Experience in AML/sanctions regulations as they apply to financial institutions, including retail, wholesale and international banks, Trade Finance, Fraud, Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management
+ 4+ Years Experience performing QC for alert and/or case investigations, specifically pertaining to Trade Finance, Fraud, Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management
+ 4+ Years Experience providing advice regarding applicable AML/OFAC regulations and requirements with a focus on Trade Finance, Fraud, Retail Banking, Private Banking, and Wealth Management
+ 4+ Years experience with transaction monitoring: review financial transactions to detect suspicious activity, such as money laundering, fraud, or regulatory breaches.
+ 4+ Years Experience in managing a team of professional AML/OFAC compliance practitioners
+ 4+ Years Experience drafting Suspicious Activity Reports ("SARs")
+ 4+ Years Experience using AML Monitoring systems and related software
+ 4+ Years Experience submitting written and oral reports to senior management and clients
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, Criminal Justice, or a related field; or equivalent experience
+ Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
+ Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

+ FIU - Financial Institutions Unit Experience
+ AML Consulting Experience
+ Certifications such as CAMS and CFE
+ Regulatory experience

+ Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
