Director Service Management Governance is responsible for IT Performance, Audit, Change & Problem Management, is a mission-critical leadership role responsible for strengthening operational excellence, governance, and service reliability within the IT Service Management organization. Reporting directly to the VP of IT Service Management, this leader will oversee and integrate four foundational pillars of performance: internal IT performance reporting, internal audit readiness and controls, enterprise-wide change enablement, and problem management and root cause analysis.
This role will act as a bridge between IT operations and enterprise strategy, aligning day-to-day execution with our organizational ambition to be a top quartile IT performer within two years. The ideal candidate brings analytical precision, a strong understanding of ITSM best
practices, and the ability to drive sustainable improvements across service performance, risk posture, and operational maturity.
They will lead teams that:
- Ensure transparent, data-driven insights into IT performance trends and improvement opportunities;
- Manage audit processes and risk controls to ensure regulatory and compliance alignment;
- Execute change management governance that safeguards production stability while enabling transformation;
- Investigate systemic issues, own post-mortem processes, and reduce incident recurrence through structured problem management.

+ Leads the development of policies, SOPs and Work Instructions for all service management processes
+ Leads the development of configuration management, IT asset management (hardware and software) and application portfolio management policies and tools
+ Acts as liaison between business process owners, managers and users to validate process improvement opportunities.
+ Provides available, reliable, maintainable, and serviceable service management platform to AIT
+ Ensures all parties understand ownership and accountability between service management supporting teams.
+ Provides training on service management processes and tools.
+ Stays current with emerging trends in service management, proposing and developing plans to further the function.
+ Mentors other team members who may be less experienced in-service management areas with meeting various business needs.
+ Assists in facilitating and promoting organizational change.
+ Identifies and documents risks, issues in service delivery and works with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
+ Provide executive reports summarizing process compliance.
+ Collaborate with peers in AIT to improve process adoption and alignment.
+ Develop the service management staff to meet the changing needs of business, users, groups and locations; new projects and technologies
+ Continual Service Improvement (CSI).
Qualifications

As a senior member of our Firmwide development team, you will focus on leading a variety of dynamic structural pursuits and projects as it relates to transportation, primarily focused on project across RK&K's overall current and new service areas. As a Water Resources Project Delivery Leader your responsibilities will include design and overall management of drainage studies, storm drainage system design, flood studies, stormwater management, and erosion control design. Position: Project Manager - Alternative Delivery
Location: Indiana, Texas, Florida, & Ohio
The primary function of this person is to play an integral part in maintaining, managing and growing our alternative delivery business line. This position will focus on delivering major projects and programs with our alternative delivery group. The position will also focus on growing business with existing clients as well as developing new clients. Close coordination with our executive leadership teams is imperative.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral duties include managing, directing and development of alternative delivery transportation and other public infrastructure projects. This will include the development of the proposals and management and delivery of selected projects. Responsibilities include workflow and staff management, staff development, technical leadership, project management, quality assurance, and client management.
Workflow and Staff Management
- Master team project list updated monthly
- Monitor monthly team billings, profitability, and staff utilization
- Represent the company at local/state/national organization meetings and industry events.
- Accompany business development and technical staff to client meetings to maintain existing and establish new client relationships.
- Coordinate workflow and staffing with Department Manager & other teams
- Effectively deal with personnel issues within the team in conjunction with Department Manager, Human Resources and upper management
- Keep team personnel morale high
Technical Leadership
- Direct all aspects of the development of major design-build projects
- Mentor less experienced staff
- Technical problem solving
- Identify project roadblocks and assist in resolving them
Project Management
- Prepare proposals, fee negotiations, and contracts
- Track financial progress of individual projects and Project Managers
- Drive velocity on all projects and maintain project schedules
- Assist department and other departments to be profitable
Quality Assurance
- Ensure that every project gets adequate review at every stage
- Use technical resources to assist in quality control
Client Management
- Establish good relationships with clients
- Look for new opportunities with existing clients
- Look for opportunities with prospective clients
- A minimum of 15 years in the transportation engineering business.
- Broad technical knowledge of the transportation construction and engineering industry nationally.
- Design-Build management experience
- Professional Engineer, ability to get licensed in multiple states
- Experience or potential in sales and marketing of services, as well as the ability to build client relationships.
- Proven leadership ability, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills

RK&K is currently seeking a Project Manager to lead our Florida based Alternative Delivery team, position to be based in Orlando or Tampa. As a Project Manager in our Alternative Delivery division, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead a team of professional engineers in support of our current and future clients. You will play a critical role on our team by developing and maintaining relationships with clients and connecting those clients with innovative and creative solutions to their transportation-oriented needs.
Essential Function
- Serve as a hands-on, project based, Design Manager for Florida Transportation Alternative Delivery projects providing project leadership, technical expertise, budget management, and design production oversight
- Lead transportation projects and assist with hands-on design production
- Maintain strong relationships with potential teaming partners (contractors, engineers, subconsultants)
- Actively participate in the development and professional growth of RK&K's Florida based staff, particularly with respect to alternative delivery
Required Skills and Experience
- Fifteen (15) + years of experience in engineering services with progressive responsibilities including engineering, design, project management and client delivery
- Experience leading design build or alternative delivery projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License in Florida
- Capacity to articulate ideas and concepts both visually and contextually, including strong technical and proposal writing skills
- Ability to think creatively, resolve abstract problems, motivate others, work collaboratively, and be self-directed
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Project Management (PMP) or Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) certification
- Engineer of record on projects valued at $100 Million or greater in construction
- Experience as Design Manager, Deputy Design Manager, or high functioning discipline lead on contractor lead teams for Florida Design Build Transportation projects (FDOT, FTE, GMX, THEA, CFX, or other public agencies within Florida).
- Established ability to coordinate with Contractor and Owner during Design-Build pursuits and project execution.
- Preparation of Design-Build Statement of Qualifications, Technical Proposal and Price Proposals
- Management of Alternative Delivery Teams, including in-house and subconsultant staff, to exceed project goals for design, schedule and budget performance.
- Capable of supporting the growth of traditional design services within the Florida market with a focus on FDOT.
