to support the Fort Worth District (SWF) Engineering and Construction (E&C) in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time, onsite position.
This person will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

What you bring to the table
Beck is looking for a qualified Project Engineer to join an extraordinary project team. While this is an entry level role, you will be involved in many facets of construction with the ability to evolve our existing operations. As the Project Engineer you will help your project team with administration and documentation of the construction project including procurement of materials, identifying subcontract scope gaps, pricing change orders, quality management, and punch list maintenance. This position may be over one to two trades on a larger project or many trades on smaller projects under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or higher.
The job involves the following essential functions:
- Coordinate, maintain, and have thorough understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and other project documents
- Develop and maintain Submittal Logs, Specification Logs, RFI logs and responses, meeting minutes, and as-built drawings
- Effectively review and expedite shop drawings and submittals
- Utilize Project Management software for project and job setup
- Assist in acquiring project closeout documentation
- Enforce OSHA and Beck safety standards and policies
- Follow direction, collaborate with all team members, and complete assigned tasks
A person with the willingness to learn and be mentored under talented Project Management and Field Supervision staff while also having the ability to proactively identify and solve problems and interact collaboratively and professionally with the project team, subcontractors, vendors, and owners. - 0-2 years of relevant construction experience AND:
- College graduate with relevant degree
- OR relevant experience in field construction operations and have committed to obtaining a relevant degree
- Internship with architectural or commercial construction company preferred but not required
- Fundamental understanding of project documents
- Experience using Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, and Revit or comparable construction technologies is a plus
Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment; occasionally ascends/descends ladders and stairs; constantly works in outdoor weather conditions; frequently moves equipment up to 50Ibs to various locations on site; constantly communicates with subcontractors, vendors, and other members of project team; constantly moving around job site; ability to adhere to consistent and timely attendance.

- Identifies projects; develops project scopes; manages the planning, design, construction and implementation of projects.
- Direct projects execution, assigns resources to projects, delegates tasks and activities, and monitors implementation schedules for projects.
- Prepares, seals, and certifies plans and specifications; prepares and/or reviews construction documents, cost estimates, plats, easements; performs and/or reviews hydraulic modeling and analysis of existing and future infrastructure, and other submittals by engineering consultants and internal staff for completeness and correctness.
- Prepares request for qualifications (RGQs); evaluates interest statement submittals endure effective implementation of professional services contracts; and, negotiates scope, budget, and schedule for professional services contacts.
- Assesses engineering plans by reviewing engineering plans to verify if they meet City standards, specifications, and policies; and coordinating the review of the plans with other City departments for their input in the review.
- Prepares right-of-way deeds and easements by securing field data from survey crew; identifying the right-of-way needed; preparing metes and bounds descriptions; signing and sealing the metes and bounds; and submitting papers to the right-of-way agent to be recorded.
- Manages project coordination for capital improvement projects including design, scope of work, cost estimating, contract administration, budgets, and schedules. Analyzes and interacts with various City departments on the intent of the capital improvement project and project scope.
- Reviews, develops, and writes scopes of work for design and construction contracts between the City, consultants, and construction contractors.
- Manages the work of consultants and contractors through the development of project requirements including project strategies, budget, schedule, land acquisitions, permitting requirements and compliance with City policies, procedures, design and construction standards, regulations, and codes.
- Requests, evaluates, negotiates, and manages consultant proposals, sets project schedules, design review elements, agency coordination, owner reviews, regulatory agency compliance, budgeting considerations in accordance with appropriate engineering standards.
- Provides technical advice and assistance to other City departments, engineers, architects, and contractors for conformance with City policies and guidelines.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering field, with 7 to 12 years of related experience OR a Masters/PhD in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering field, with 6-10 years of related experience.

**DESCRIPTION:**
A Project Engineer's primary responsibility is to provide technical engineering information to a Project Manager to ensure project compliance with plans, codes, specifications and design instructions. Assist in evaluations and solution or potential field problems, referring them to Project Management. Perform all essential functions and responsibilities in conjunction with the company's values and beliefs in alignment with Fisk's policies so that the construction process is completed to the client's full satisfaction and at the Company's expected levels of safety, quality, and profitability.
As a **Project Engineer** at Fisk Electric, reporting to **the Project Manager,** you will have the opportunity to:
+ Assist with development of startup checklist and site logistics plan
+ Assist with development of quality control plan
+ Assist with and monitor permit processes
+ Prepare closeout log
+ Participate in and document owner training
+ Compile as-built drawings
+ Administer RFI process
+ Develop submittal log and administer submittal process
+ Document job site meetings
+ Verification of project materials
+ Develop and maintain material expediting log
+ Coordinate and/or conduct quality control inspections
+ Establish record and permit sets of documents
+ Ensure accessibility of show drawings and submittals
+ Create, distribute and expedite sub response to RFPs
+ Process progress photos
+ Assist in preparation of Owner Change Requests
+ Assist with preparation of project status reports
**REQUIREMENTS:**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ Working knowledge of construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications and building materials
+ 2 or more years of experience working for a commercial electrical contractor
+ Ability to perform trigonometric calculations, either manually or with calculator
+ Ability to interface and communicate effectively with others
+ Procore experience preferred

POWER Engineers, member of WSP is currently seeking a Project Engineer to work with our Government Services Division. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to be part of an engineering team engaged in engineering design projects in the Government market including mission-critical infrastructure design to include power delivery, power generation, power distribution, backup power, UPS, system studies, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects.
Strong team leadership, mentoring, excellent communication skills, presentation skills, motivation, positive attitude, and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently will be core skills for the successful candidate. Our Department is growing and the successful applicant will play an important role in the development of a sustainable electrical department with staff filling roles at all experience levels. The applicant will interface directly with internal and external clients and will demonstrate a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints.
Responsibilities include leading design teams including sub-consultants and working with federal clients on energy and infrastructure projects. The Project Engineer will be challenged with working on multiple large and small projects simultaneously.
The successful candidate must have a deeply technical engineering skill set and experience leading design teams and interface with federal clients. The position requires candidates who are licensed professional engineers in electrical or mechanical engineering.

**Required Education/Experience**
+ BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited University
+ Professional Engineering License with the ability to be licensed in multiple states
+ Seven (7) years of applicable experience leading technical design teams on federal government projects
+ Specific projects should be with NAVFAC or USACE
+ Demonstrated experience with the successful execution of design-build (DB) and design-bid-build (DBB) interdisciplinary design projects for US Government clients
+ Working knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)
+ Seven (7) years of experience in the design and specification of electrical power distribution systems or mechanical systems, and building design
+ Broad understanding of architectural and engineering system designs and multi-discipline coordination
+ Ability to mentor design teams
+ Successfully manage project scope, schedule, and budget
+ Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel domestically and internationally, and must work successfully in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment
+ Must be a US Citizen
**Desired Education/Experience**
+ Ten (10) years of applicable experience leading technical design teams and in the design and specification of electrical power distribution systems or mechanical systems, and building design
+ Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
+ Experience with mission-critical infrastructure projects.
+ Solid foundation in implementing CAD and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation
