The role: We are looking for an experienced and versatile communications professional to join CookUnity’s Brand organization. The ideal candidate will drive high-impact, integrated media relations strategies that take control of the public narrative surrounding CookUnity and ensure our high impact messages are prominent in the category and culture at large. This individual; will play an important leadership role in creating visibility, authority, and affinity for the CookUnity brand and directly contributing to brand-led growth through top tier earned reach. This role will include both internal and external communications with a focus on national public relations strategies, media relations, crisis comms, newsjacking, executive comms, employee comms, and mining for and publicizing our most important stories. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, a detailed project manager, and creative storyteller who excels at spotting trends, creating data-driven news stories, and getting ahead of the narrative. Success in this role will be demonstrated by the effective PR and communications strategies and initiatives that support CookUnity’s brand, delivering compelling messages that connect with our stakeholders, and collaborating with and meeting the needs of internal and external partners. Responsibilities: Lead proactive and reactive reputation management: crisis comms as needed, high profile hires/departures, shape high impact/urgent customer communications, etc. Lead executive communications strategies: thought leadership content creation, speechwriting, comms related social support (LinkedIn), staffing at events/speaking engagements for top execs, etc. Develop and nurture direct press relationships with top tier outlets, journalists, etc via regular cadence of press outreach, media events/dinners, etc. Drive external business storytelling strategy around all M&A, fundraising, milestone, IPO, etc comms in leading business outlets. Develop long-term earned reach strategy and translate into a PR roadmap/playbook for agency to increase velocity and quality of press. Mine for stories both internally and externally (customers, chefs) and feed to the agency and/or direct press relationships, ensuring proper positioning and inclusion of critical and meaningfully differentiated details. Support leadership in effectively communicating company strategy, values, principles, and key decisions/announcements to employees. Support leading regular cadence of employee related communication forums such as Town Halls, In Person Week Events, critical employee Slack channels, etc. Support comms strategy and execution related to semi-internal audiences unique to our business like Chef Town Halls. 10+ years in public relations, communications or related field. Experience at premium consumer and/or technology brands or startups. Growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, operating with a bias for action and will to figure things out with minimal oversight. Strategic thinker with proven success developing communications programs and initiatives. Were looking for an experienced North America Public Relations Director to support the companys communications and media relations efforts. This role, reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, is instrumental in growing Contentsquares reputation in NA and cementing its leadership among key audiences. An integral part of the Corporate Communications team, you will work closely with our PR agencies and consultants to design, oversee and scale our ambitious PR program, drive thought leadership, and help communicate our brand to the world.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a corporate media strategy that grows Contentsquares reputation in NA and is aligned with company goals
  • Lead proactive, continuous media engagement with top-tier business, financial, and tech outlets, building strong media relationships and securing impactful earned coverage
  • Oversee and collaborate with PR agencies and contractors to build and execute an ambitious media strategy aligned with Contentsquares awareness and business objectives
  • Build and manage relationships with top-tier global media outlets, journalists, and influencers
  • Position Contentsquares executives as industry thought leaders through proactive media outreach, and by helping to secure speaking opportunities and event placements
  • Oversee preparation of talking points and other supporting material for media engagements and spokesperson opportunities
  • Serve as a lead expert and thought partner for the Corporate Communications team on media/PR topics, including prioritizing the right stories, drafting of messages, carrying out risk assessments, managing validation loops etc
  • Track, analyze, and report on media performance, and provide regular reports on the effectiveness of media relations efforts
Qualifications & Experience:
  • At least 10 to 15 years of demonstrated success and leadership in a PR/media and/or comms-related field
  • Demonstrated success with an always-on PR approach, consistently securing proactive, targeted and ambitious media coverage
  • Deep understanding of the media and emerging trends, with an established tier-1 media network
  • Proven experience building strong relationships with media, executives, and internal stakeholders
  • Tech-savvy and curious, with a profound understanding of the tech sector, including key trends and challenges
  • Excellent storyteller with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative and innovative thinker whos not afraid to try new things and think outside the box
  • Strong crisis communications experience, including the ability to think quickly and decisively under pressure
  • Experience in managing complex projects and budgets
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Proficiency in French a plus

Overview

We are seeking an Account Director to join our Technology practice. The role is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal managerial role on one of Allisons largest technology accounts. In this position, youll be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and management of the account, while coaching and supporting more junior employees. We expect account directors to be well-versed in integrated marketing and communications opportunities that can help better support and address our clients growing needs.

This person will also play an active role in additional efforts outside of the day-to-day account work including new business, agency marketing, office culture, employee development and coaching, trainings, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a day-to-day client contact for one of the practices largest accounts, driving implementation of strategy and tactics.
  • Oversee development and implementation of integrated strategies, providing direction and support for account managers and senior account executives.
  • Identify clients growing needs and align with existing agency offerings.
  • Manage the cross-office account team to drive results and continuously evaluate overall account success against KPIs.
  • Monitor and track account budgets and account teams hours against scopes of work on a mid-month and monthly basis.
  • Contribute to Allisons culture (ex: employee experience, inclusive initiatives, professional development).
  • Outline roles and responsibilities for the account teams and re-evaluate regularly.
  • Coach account team members and direct reports to strengthen and develop skillsets.
  • Identify new business opportunities and play a leadership role in RFP responses, pitch preparation and presentations.
  • Promote and uphold Allisons core values; participates in agency-wide training and professional development programs.

Qualifications

  • Requires prior experience as a manager, supervisor or director in public relations, marketing or a related field. Account Directors at Allison typically have a minimum of 7+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in consumer and B2B technology and corporate communications is a must. Bonus points if you have worked with enterprise brands.
  • Strong understanding of the earned new media landscape with an ability to advise account teams on best practices in product and brand storytelling.
  • Prior experience in budget management preferred.
  • Creative problem-solver deft in identifying greater opportunities for integration between departments and teams.
  • Results-driven with ability to deliver comprehensive measurement programs for clients.
  • Experience in team/account management, as well as direct management preferred.
