The Manufacturing Reliability Engineer designs and maintains reliable and safe production systems while improving material utilization, uptime, yield, and rate attainment to reduce manufacturing expenses. This individual will identify, develop, and implement innovative solutions to improve process capability that meet or exceed requirements. This role also will focus on improving and sustaining performance across all shift operating teams.
Position Requirements
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
- B.S. in Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Preference to B.S. in technologist Engineering disciplines.
Kind & Length of Experience
- 1-2 years of experience in a technical engineering role required
- Prefer 3-5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prefer at least 6 months of experience with an HMI system such as Wonderware.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
- Identify, design, and create detailed specifications for equipment and other production related processes or methods.
- Create / modify process flow diagrams, CAD drawings.
- Support collection and perform analyses on production data.
- Lead or support process improvement initiatives and design projects that support organizational annual cost savings targets.
- Deliver projects on time and within agreed upon budget requirements.
- Communicate progress toward key performance indicator goal attainment through daily management processes (e.g. huddle boards), where appropriate.
- Relentlessly pursue continuous improvement activities to achieve world-class organizational performance to support strategic vision.
- Lead work kaizen, equipment kaizen, and process kaizen to improve process reliability.
- Support Autonomous Maintenance and Total Productive Maintenance implementation.
- Communicate in direct-facing customer conversations regarding process abnormalities and process improvements.
- Investigate abnormalities and facilitate corrective actions through structured problem solving.
- Support corporate-wide and site-wide safety and quality initiatives.
- Initiate Management of Change (MOC) per requirements.
- Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations.

Job Description
The Quality Control Lab Technician will ensure that all production batches and finished products meet quality control standards by conducting tests in accordance with internal SOPs and FDA/GMP requirements. This role involves performing routine quality control activities, recording observations and measurements, reporting results, and maintaining glassware and equipment. Additionally, the technician assists with the receipt and inspection of raw materials.
Responsibilities
+ Test and adjust production batches according to formula and SOP, and communicate adjustments as necessary.
+ Perform testing on finished products, stability, and validation samples using required methods.
+ Conduct instrumental analyses using HPLC, GC, or TOC as needed.
+ Complete all paperwork and record keeping associated with approving and releasing batches.
+ Evaluate data for trends and author standard operating procedures and microbiological test methods.
+ Approve tankers for loading and unloading, recording information and testing results.
+ Test products based on customer complaints or returns, and retest returned goods for release or rejection as authorized.
+ Store samples and assist in maintaining retained samples as needed.
+ Maintain cleanliness and stock the QC area and lab with necessary materials.
+ Assist in environmental monitoring, including obtaining samples and conducting chemical or micro evaluations.
+ Operate computer programs for administrative duties to prepare, distribute, and maintain forms, charts, logs, graphs, and other tools.

This position will provide support for the Erlanger Operations and Inventory groups by completing laboratory analysis. The occupant of this role will complete routine testing, ensure data integrity, and promote a safe laboratory environment. The occupant of this role will report to the local QC manager and support senior laboratory colleagues.
**Primary Job Functions:**
+ Conduct routine QC testing which includes analysis of raw materials, intermediate batches, and finished products.
+ Maintain appropriate data integrity while conducting testing.
+ Participate in investigations for any out of specification results and report findings to local QC manager or Senior QC members.
+ Follow best practices, established by the company and regulating bodies, for transcription of data.
+ Uphold a clean area of work and a well-organized space for samples.
+ Participate in necessary training sessions to ensure consistency of testing.
+ Fulfill common laboratory cleaning practices to ensure the laboratory environment does not negatively impact testing.
+ Identify issues with methodology and support investigations into testing accuracy.

**Requirements:**
+ Minimum Associate's degree in food science, biology, or related laboratory-based field.
+ Preferred experience with organoleptic testing.
+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality requirements.
+ Willingness to innovate and adapt best practices.
+ Ability to encourage trust between Operations, Development, Supply Chain and Quality departments.

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist 2 will perform routine and complex quality control testing of blood and blood components, as well as high-level evaluation, review, and interpretation of test results. Candidates shall be able to perform with minimal supervision, be proficient in computerized data entry and retrieval functions, and communicate effectively with individuals within and outside the department.

Essential Functions
