**Position Overview:**
The Executive Director, Quality Assurance will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the quality assurance strategy for CVS Health, mostly focused on our Store Branded and some National Brand products. This role will lead a team of quality professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Legal and Ops, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. The Executive Director will play a critical role in fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Develop, implement and execute a comprehensive quality assurance strategy aligned with key regulations (e.g., FDA) and the company's goals and objectives.
+ Lead and manage the Quality Assurance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
+ Establish and maintain quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Legal, Operations and many other teams to ensure quality is integrated into all aspects of the business.
+ Oversee the development and execution of quality audits, inspections, and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
+ Manage and facilitate the removal of Front Store products based on regulatory guidance or safety concerns.
+ Analyze quality metrics and data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement; develop action plans to address identified issues.
+ Manage contracts and expenses with key vendor partners (e.g., UL, BV).
+ Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors regarding quality-related matters.
+ Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization by promoting best practices and quality initiatives.
+ Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in quality assurance methodologies.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance, or equivalent functions
+ Minimum of 7 years in leadership roles.
+ Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO), and industry standards.
+ Proven track record of successfully leading quality initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Certifications like Six Sigma, Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE).
+ Experience with vendor contracting and expense oversight and management.
**Education**
+ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, engineering, science) or equivalent experience.
**Pay Range**
The typical pay range for this role is:
$131,500.00 - $303,195.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.

**Responsibilities**
+ Ensure company and customer quality requirements are communicated pursuant to customer satisfaction, company profitability and continuous improvement.
+ Oversees the review of manufacturing and testing of new product to achieve quality requirements.
+ Maintain the department budget.
+ Provide guidance in the implementation of testing procedures to assure quality requirements are met.
+ Track root cause of quality issues, coordinate corrective actions, and implement appropriate adjustments. This will involve implementing a corrective/preventive action system.
+ Facilitate internal and external measurable systems, such as KOM's, and present to management groups.
+ Interface with customers, vendors, and 3 rd party assessors.
+ Direct employees engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products.
+ Facilitate a comprehensive environmental program to assure continual product safety.
+ Ensure proper usage and calibration of measuring devices, i.e. calipers, micrometers, etc.
+ Write and implement process capability studies, as required to qualify products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
• Courteous and helpful to other associates
• Sweep and clean floors on nights with no scheduled vendor services
• Weekly cleaning of Produce, Market and Deli Departments
• Clean and organize the store mop room
• Find more efficient ways to do the job and seek to reduce costs and improve labor productivity
• Follow QA daily check list and sanitation standards set by Food Lion
• Follow current Standard Practices regarding cleanup of Hazardous Waste product
• Maintain a complete understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice
• Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures
• Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause associate or customer accidents
• Report all associate and customer accidents in accordance with established Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty

**Responsibilities**
1. Carrying out Quality Assurance of production with a frequency as listed in the Quality spot-check schedule
2. Responsible that all Quality Assurance is performed in compliance with the procedures/ Instruction and the Quality Tolerance database
3. Be familiar with all ISO and SQF procedures/ instructions related to the Quality Assurance database
4. Perform entrance control of critical product
5. Ensure that production is notified about any problems or potential problems as soon as possible and that the correct documentation is filled out
6. Inform production about continuing quality problems and ensure it is verified and documented that the quality is again acceptable once the responsible production department verifies that the problem has been corrected.
7. Perform article tests
8. Manage in process of putting products on "hold" and ensure all product is correctly marked. In case of on-going quality problems, ensure product put on hold until problem has been corrected.
9. Assist QA Manager and QA supervisor in maintaining and updating the laboratory collection of samples to be used in quality tests.
