Responsibilities:
Perform visual and mechanical inspections using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages, bore gages, height gage, angle protractor, and optical comparator.
Conduct regular quality assessments on all incoming materials, in-process parts, and outgoing products.
Verify parts and interpret blueprints for dimensional and visual checks.
Understand GD&T and possess functional knowledge of metrology.
Initiate and act on discrepancy and non-conformance issues.
Conduct internal investigations on root causes of non-conformance and determine their disposition.
Develop and implement procedures to enhance process control efficiency.
Ensure documentation of the quality system complies with ISO9001-2015 standards.
Maintain organizational skills for document tracking, audits, and certifications support.
Manage database systems used to document quality functions.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and various gages.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
1 - 3 years of experience in quality control inspection or manufacturing inspection.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of ERP systems highly preferred.
Understanding of tooling and hydraulics strongly preferred.
Familiarity with the power/utility industry and substation projects is a plus.
Work Environment:
Work in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment during the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
Pay and Benefits:

Assure inspection is performed in accordance with FDA, ISO, and other applicable regulations / guidelines.
Follow written instructions with engineering-based content.
Train in mechanical inspection techniques.
Apply attention to detail for medical device product features.
Interface with peers, engineers, and Regulatory auditors.
Accurately record inspection results to ensure proper segregation of accepted and rejected products.
Quality Control Inspector II & Sr. Mechanical Inspector
Train new inspectors in MicroPort methods, products, and equipment.
Interpret supplier certifications.

- Interface with various engineering functions to perform / improve inspection techniques.
