Sr. Director of Human Resources
Position Summary :
The Talent Acquisition Associate plays a key role in supporting NYBG’s recruitment efforts by managing full-cycle hiring for part-time, entry-level, seasonal, and union positions. This role supports employment-related processes including pre-employment screenings, onboarding, and new hire orientations.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities :

Lead recruitment efforts for entry-level, seasonal, and hourly/salaried temporary roles

Manage hiring for union positions in accordance with collective bargaining agreements, including coordinating required examinations with department managers

Collaborate with hiring managers to define candidate profiles and develop tailored recruitment strategies

Draft and publish job postings internally and externally, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and approval protocols

Source candidates through diverse channels such as job fairs, open houses, colleges, technical/trade schools, and community partnerships

Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring departments

Conduct reference checks and background screenings in compliance with NYBG policies

Extend job offers and facilitate onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and approval protocols

Partner with staffing agencies, when needed, to support temporary hiring needs
Qualifications :

1–2 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with applicant tracking systems a plus
-
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport across diverse teams

Demonstrated reliability, discretion, and ability to work independently in a confidential environment
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
