Job Function:
The Student Recruitment Specialist has primary responsibility for recruiting new students and helps retain existing students at every campus in the district. Under general supervision, the SRS works closely with the Student Recruitment Manager, Marketing Manager, Communication Director, the CDO, the District Parent Liaison, and campus leadership to undertake targeted recruitment efforts designed to fill all available student seats at every campus, while also ensuring a robust waitlist of prospective students across the district.
Duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned by the Student Recruitment Manager or the CDO.
•Provide confident, articulate communications and messaging about TBP to a wide variety of stakeholders with a primary objective to recruit and retain students.
•Acts as one of the spokespersons for the district in matters relating to student recruitment.
•Considering current/future changes in local campus neighborhoods including demographic and competition from additional charter schools, establishes and maintains an annual recruitment plan that includes specific recruitment strategies designed and led by this position.
•In collaboration with the Student Recruitment Manager, coordinates, designs, and implements marketing materials/plans to increase student enrollment.
•Coordinates and collaborates with campus administrators in the planning and implementation of on-campus enrollment events.
•Responsible for developing a full schedule; scheduling appointments with parents for campus tours, register for community events, fostering, developing and nurturing new and existing partners, building new networking relationships, and build good communication with parents.
•Leads TBP's participation in family-oriented community events that are conducive to recruiting new students. Attends back to school fairs, community events and enlists/coordinates TBP's volunteer staff to participate.
•Strategizes on opportunities to enhance recruitment efforts and implements identified strategies.
•Organize Open House events at all campuses in collaboration with Student Recruitment Manager and campus staff.
•Participate in campus functions that can help with parent referrals and develop a plan for connecting with other parents based on referral information obtained from current parents.
•Meets with parents (including PTA/PTO) and staff to solicit input and identify target areas for student recruitment.
•In collaboration with others, prepares, coordinates, and distributes student recruitment communications.
•Coordinates the selection and maintains an appropriately adequate inventory of promotional materials used for student recruitment.
•Visits and interacts with local businesses and other non-profit organizations to increase awareness of the school and distribute marketing materials centered around recruitment.
•As requested, assists the CDO with development or marketing initiatives, projects or grants.
•Coordinates and/or facilitates the creation and distribution of marketing or recruitment materials designed to increase enrollment.
•Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.
•Other duties or projects as assigned by Student Recruitment Manager or the CDO.

Psychiatrists - Major Duties And Responsibilities Include
General Psychiatrist: Core responsibilities include providing comprehensive psychiatric medical care (assessment, consultation, treatment)
to patients served by general mental health teams based in Dallas, Denton, Fort Worth or Garland. Physician should be competent in the management of individuals with a broad range of clinical problems, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder, mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders, substance use disorders and psychiatric disorders in the elderly Veteran population.
Addiction Psychiatrist: Core responsibilities include providing comprehensive psychiatric medical care (assessment, consultation, treatment) to patients in the Dallas Mental Health Gold Team, an outpatient clinic focusing on providing care to Veterans with addictions and substance use disorders, or Diamond Team, a general mental health team.
Primary Care - Mental Health Integration Psychiatrist: Core responsibilities include providing integrated mental health care in primary care clinic settings through collaboration with primary care physicians and primary care nurses. Physician should be competent in the management of individuals with a broad range of clinical problems, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder, mood, anxiety and psychotic disorders, substance use disorders and psychiatric disorders in the elderly Veteran population.
Education of Health Professions Trainees The VA North Texas Health Care System has muliple educational affiliates and internal training programs. The incumbent is encouraged to be involved in educational activities to the degree of their interest.
Work Schedule: Generally Monday - Friday (8:00 am to 4:30 pm) with light on-call responsibilities but varies by work area. Flexible work tours and telework may be available.

Basic Requirements
- United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- Education: Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
- Licensure and Registration: Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
- Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification. (NOTE: VA physicians involved in academic training programs may be required to be board certified for faculty status.) Approved residencies are:
- Those approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), b) OR
- Those approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA),OR
- Other residencies (non-US residency training programs followed by a minimum of five years of verified practice in the United States), which the local Medical Staff Executive Committee deems to have provided the applicant with appropriate professional training and believes has exposed the physician to an appropriate range of patient care experiences. Residents currently enrolled in ACGME/AOA accredited residency training programs and who would otherwise meet the basic requirements for appointment are eligible to be appointed as Physician Resident Providers (PRPs). PRPs must be fully licensed physicians (i.e., not a training license) and may only be appointed on an intermittent or fee-basis. PRPs are not considered independent practitioners and will not be privileged; rather, they are to have a scope of practice that allows them to perform certain restricted duties under supervision. Additionally, surgery residents in gap years may also be appointed as PRPs.

- English Language Proficiency. Physicians appointed to direct patient-care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English as required by 38 U.S.C.
- 7402(d) and 7407(d).

Physical Requirements: Moderate lifting, 20 pounds and over; moderate carrying 15-44 pounds straight pulling (1 hour); pushing (1 hour); reaching above shoulder; use of fingers; both hands required; walking (3 hours); standing (3 hours); kneeling (1 hour); repeated bending (1 hour); Ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously; near vision correctable at 13 to 16 to Jaeger 1 to 4; and hearing (aid permitted).See VA Handbook and Directive 5019.

Education
Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from an institution whose accreditation was in place for the year in which the course of study was completed. Approved schools are:
- Schools of medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) for the year in which the degree was granted, or
- Schools of osteopathic medicine approved by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association for the year in which the degree was granted.
