DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate a garbage truck along specified routes to efficiently collect solid waste.

• Read route sheets accurately to service each customer assigned by the dispatcher.

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, ensuring fluids, safety equipment, and tires are in optimal condition.

• Handle physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading refuse, often without assistance.

• Utilize hydraulic hand controls to lift, load, and dispose of trash at designated facilities.

• Engage courteously with customers and perform other job-related duties as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Requires extensive physical activity, including heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.

• Work environment may involve exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, necessitating adherence to basic safety precautions.

• Outdoor work in various weather conditions, including frequent exposure to wet, humid conditions, fumes, and vibrations, with moderate noise levels.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.

• A minimum of 2 years of work experience, ideally in a driving capacity, with a stable work history.

• Must be able and willing to lift 50+ pounds.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A CDL B DRIVER!

As a vital member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of containers to customer locations. Your role will involve maintaining excellent customer relationships while adhering to all safety standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers.
• Conduct thorough daily pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and lift.
• Adapt to add-on deliveries as needed to meet dynamic business requirements.
• Utilize a company-issued handheld computer for delivery confirmations and navigation.
• Safely operate a forklift and/or overhead crane as required.
• Inspect and clean containers to guarantee they are presentable for customers.
• Coordinate rental agreements and payments directly with customers.
• Communicate effectively with the Driver Lead or Market Manager regarding customer questions or issues.
• Perform maintenance on containers and lifts both in the field and at the storage center.
• Assist with storage center operations when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and debris-free truck cab, inside and out.

• May include other tasks as assigned based on business needs.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:

• You will report to management roles such as Market Manager or Territory Manager.
• This position does not include direct management responsibilities for other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:
