Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage new and existing client relationships through superior client service.
  • Keep up to date with local bank competition and community involvement.
  • Act as personal concierge for all commercial banking clients, anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations.
  • Meet established goals by keeping up to date on all Bank products and services, and recommending appropriate products and services to each client.
  • Meet clients in person or on calls, demo products available to the client, and provide assistance with product setup.
  • Collect and analyze information to determine credit worthiness of prospects; present loan recommendations to the Bank’s Chief Credit Officer and loan committee(s) as appropriate.
  • Establish, and negotiate when necessary, credit terms including cost, repayment method and schedule, and collateral.
  • Take responsibility for processing and maintaining all loans in the portfolio (e.g., ensure loans are properly risk-rated, borrowers’ financial reporting and payments are current).
  • Represent the Bank at community, networking, and trade association functions.
  • Team up with internal partners to enhance the client experience, through continuous improvements.


Requirements:

  • College or advanced degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Operational knowledge of commercial banking services and regulations (e.g., credit; depository, cash management and loan products; BSA/AML).
  • Knowledge of and ties to the San Francisco/Bay Area market.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with absolute discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel; knowledge of Salesforce.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize amid change.
  • Strong credit and analytical skills. Attention to detail is critical.
  • A high level of client service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively throughout the Bank and to represent the Bank positively at all times.

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $130,000 with **anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range** and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. **The Role at a Glance**
Lincoln has an opening for a **Relationship Manager** who is passionate about helping plan sponsors and financial professionals deliver the best retirement plan experience possible. As a Relationship Manager, you will lead an experienced and dynamic service team, and serve as the single point of accountability for our clients in the **Midwest/Northeast region** . With an entrepreneurial approach to managing your assigned clients, you'll form new relationships, ensure appropriate price and service offering, and strategize on plan optimization, all with a focus on client satisfaction and retention.
**What you'll be doing**
- Serving as a strategic partner to our retirement plan clients
- Leading a robust and experienced internal service team
- Capitalizing on your industry knowledge to provide thoughtful and proactive plan reviews, education strategies, and guidance on plan design
- Using your organizational and leadership skills to navigate through successful issue resolution
- Strategically presenting new products and services, as appropriate
**What we're looking for**
Must haves:
- 5+ years of experience in the Retirement Industry in a client facing role
- Proven strong relationship management skills, ability to build rapport quickly, and proactive management of plan goals
- Strong working knowledge of ERISA and IRS rules and regulations and how they impact retirement plans
- FINRA S6 & S63- required within 90 days of hire
- Life & Health license- required within 120 days of hire
- Ability to travel to clients approximately 30% of time
Nice-to haves:
- Experience with retention of Retirement Plan clients in the mid-market
- Governmental plan experience

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $130,000 with **anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range** and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
