Job Description
The QA Technical Tester is responsible for strategizing and implementing QA practices and processes across the Prepay organization. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and adhering to Safe Agile practices. The candidate will work with the team in designing and ensuring overall integrity of the testing strategy. The QA will also work closely with Software Developers and other testers in small scrum or Kanban teams to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Specific duties and responsibilities include creating, comparing and manipulating data, creating, maintaining and executing test plans and test cases, estimating test efforts, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking and participating in day-to-day testing activities. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring regression test scripts are current and are in the appropriate format for automation.
Responsibilities:
*Be a part of an ongoing effort to bring new testing knowledge and methodologies to the team
*Works with business partners and IT staff to establish and maintain a consistent testing methodology
*Identify and prepare complex test data to support the test cases defined by the team
*Design, develop and code SQL programs to execute backend code tests
*Design a comprehensive testing strategy & build test suites
*Design, develop and maintain regression test beds and schedule test cycles
*Leverage the testing process and test tool kit to create re-usable test sets
*Ensure regression scripts are in appropriate format for automation
*Test execution-manual and automated
*Perform UAT of functional requirements
*Utilize appropriate testing tools
*Assist in the coordination of User Acceptance testing (UAT) and End to End (E2E) testing
*Validate and report progress, risks, issues and defects to agile team
*Communicates with business partners and agile team members throughout the project life cycle, to assist and support the design, development and implementation of effective systems and deliverables
*Be an active participant during PI Planning, retrospective and daily stand-up meetings and business demonstrations
*Participate in the review of QA procedures and processes and the development of QA metrics for assessing the quality delivered application software or systems.
*Support all post implementation activities, such as post implementation testing and lessons learned analysis
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred in business or computer science or equivalent work experience required
*6 + years of experience in testing. Experience with automation testing is highly desirable
*Advanced database experience in SQL server databases and proficiency in Transact SQL required for the following:
- Ability to insert data in a table
- Ability to modify data within a table
- Ability to delete/truncate tables
- Ability to save off copies of tables
*Experience with deciphering complex SQL stored procedures as required
*Extensive QA/Software testing experience in large cross platform testing programs in both WEB (UI) and BE (database) testing
*Exposure to working in Agile/Scrum environment
*Familiarity with AAPS tools and applications a plus
*Working knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques, broad knowledge of business modeling, process engineering, change management and test case generation techniques across the testing lifecycle
*Solid experience in business requirements analysis, test design, defect logging and tracking
*Demonstrated experience in tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins, GIT, and JavaScript preferred
*Testing/working experience with Healthcare IT and familiarity with Healthcare IT terminology, business functions and processes
*Experience in all aspects of JIRA
*Experience working with business analysts, system analysts and developers for test requirement gathering, acceptance criteria etc.
*Skilled utilizing test formulation tools for test management and operations, to include performance and load testing tools as well as test reporting tools (Zephyr)
*Competent user of the following tools: SAS, Microsoft Visual Studio, ESP job scheduler, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
*Knowledge of how to query from PMHS, Proclaim and/or Facets a plus
*Must be able to manage multiple assignments with staggered deadlines
*Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and documentation skills

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 94,200 - 157,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day functions of the Quality Assurance (QA) department.
- Manage an effective quality assurance program that monitors and resolves issues before they become problems.
- Supervise the development and regular update of policies and procedures.
- Evaluate the need for and ensure the provision of necessary training for project personnel, providing up-to-date information on relevant programs, community resources, and options for consumers.
- Arrange staff training on a regular and ongoing basis. Ensure project training program meets all corporate requirements.
- Provide project leadership with updates on all issues regarding quality, operations, training, and policy and procedures.
- Provide leadership to all staff in the areas of quality improvement as it relates to process improvement, customer service and conflict resolution.
- Prepare reports and briefings for project leadership and review monthly and quarterly project status reports provided to the Department.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in healthcare compliance, quality assurance, or Medicaid program management preferred
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid regulations, managed care, and healthcare delivery systems.
- Experience with data analysis, audit processes, and performance improvement methodologies.
- 2-3 years of people leadership, managing and driving highly matrixed teams.
