The Physical Therapy Department at Christian Hospital is located on the second floor of CH. Services are provided to patients of all ages with musculoskeletal deficiencies.

Role Purpose
Provides coordination for Respiratory Care services in a leadership capacity including overseeing staffing and workloads. Ensure daily clinical operations achieve and comply with established hospital and departmental policies, procedures, and meets all applicable regulations and standards. Fulfills all requirements and responsibilities of the RRT, demonstrating a high level of expertise and scientific knowledge including best practices and is able to serve as a resource to others. Acts as a liaison with other departments to facilitate quick resolution of issues to ensure patients are provided safe and effective care.
Responsibilities
- Provides oversight for daily respiratory care operational activities that support patient care by determining level of staffing needs. Is able to collect and analyze information to project staffing plans for upcoming shift/shifts.
- Performs and coordinates various diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures according to established standards, procedures, guidelines and policies. Applies respiratory knowledge and demonstrates a high level of clinical expertise, including the ability to serve as a resource to others by providing education and training about respiratory treatments and procedures.
- Displays appropriate leadership skills in leading people, demonstrating trust, dignity and respect along with high ethical standards and behaviors, teamwork and accountability. Effectively communicates by participating in the exchange of information.
- Manages multiple priorities and applies effective time management skills, using downtime for work related activities such as coaching and mentoring others. Works effectively in a team-based environment especially during stressful situations involving quickly changing priorities. Is able to analyze critical situations and applies appropriate judgment and critical thinking for problem resolution.
- Continuously improves and takes the initiative to develop self and others. Stays current on operational issues, priorities, policies, procedures, best practices and advances related to respiratory care.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned

The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, University of California, Davis, is recruiting for 2 critical care anesthesiology Assistant / Associate or Full Professors in the Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor Series.
As critical care anesthesiologists, the successful candidates will be responsible for providing perioperative and intensive care to critically ill patients in the operating rooms, intensive care units, and non-operating room locations at UC Davis Medical Center. Responsibilities include managing critical care cases, delivering anesthesia and perioperative care, and participating in multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include participation in the general or critical care-specific call schedule, clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and service activities commensurate with academic rank. Faculty in this role may have the opportunity to serve as attending faculty in both the operating room and intensive care settings, including solo faculty assignments. In addition to clinical care, teaching and service, Health Sciences Clinical Professor series faculty engage in scholarly or creative activities which derive from and support their primary responsibilities in clinical teaching, professional and service activities, while Clinical X series faculty should have involvement in an extramurally funded research program and a publication list.

The Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurses provide high-quality care for patients experiencing acute medical conditions such as Pre and Post Lung Transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension, Ventilator dependent/weaning, and special drips while working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective treatment. Our unit is supported by an Advanced Practice Nurse and multiple physician teams. The PPCU is a 9-bed unit with private rooms with a patient focus on weaning respiratory support and a multi-disciplinary therapy team for patient rehabilitation.

Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Acute Care Medicine manage patients with a full range of clinical issues-from significant blood dyscrasias, advanced endocrine pathology, heart and renal failure, GI conditions, infectious diseases, asthma and a multitude of other conditions and diseases. ¿Because of our patient acuity, we provide advanced training to bring new nurses to the highest level of functioning.¿¿Each unit is lead by a clinical manager and lead charge nurse. ¿The unit is supported by an advanced practice nurse. ¿Additionally each unit is assigned a case manager, social worker, physical therapist, dietitian, and pharmacist. ¿This multidisciplinary team works in conjunction with the physicians, nurses and patient care technicians to provide quality patient care.
