SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
Principal duties:
- Assist with material management actions.
- Update material management records.
- Maintain asset visibility and equipment redistribution.
- Provide the work using subordinate unit facilities.
- Attend, conduct briefings, meetings, and workshops.
- Assist with inventories.
- Assist with data cleanup.
- Generate Internal Proposed Sourcing Decisions(PSD) to fulfill shortages, or turn in.
- Assist with matching process for losing and gaining units.
- Generate reports showing status of all PSD's generated by Commodity Manager
Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Minimum of six (6) years' experience providing logistics support for major systems.
- Minimum of four (4) years Army property book accounting experience, of which a minimum of two (2) years automated experience using the Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE) system, is required.
- Functional experience in Army Logistics information systems including the Force and Asset Search Tool (FAAST), Force Management System Web Site (FMSWeb), Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW), Logistics Data Analysis Tool (LogDAT), Army Enterprise Portal (AESIP) must be demonstrated.
- An additional two (2) years of experience (above the experience requirements) may be substituted.
- SECRET security clearance required.

This role focuses on managing sourcing strategies for packaging materials, glass bottles, corrugated and paper boxes, and printing , ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and manage supplier relationships for packaging materials, glass bottles, corrugated and paper boxes, and printing
- Execute strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes , ensuring efficient procurement and supplier management
- Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing to drive value and efficiency
- Analyze market trends and supply chain risks to inform sourcing strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement efforts with business goals
- Ensure regulatory compliance and best practices in procurement and sourcing
- Proven experience in sourcing and supply chain management , specifically in packaging materials, glass bottles, corrugated and paper boxes, and printing
- Strong technical understanding of these materials, including their applications and sourcing challenges
