A day in the life as a Sales Associate.

  • Maximize company sales growth and profitability through the use of creative selling skills, teamwork and customer service, in order to deliver an engaged experience to every customer, every time.
  • Demonstrate company standards in selling, customer service, visual merchandising and teamwork.
  • Ensure full understanding of all products and have a continued awareness of the most current information available.
  • Maintain an awareness of all product information, intranet communications, and current advertising and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain sales floor coverage and follow posted schedules with regard to area assignments.
  • Maintain the store counters and displays and assist with store maintenance as directed by the management team 
  • Actively engage customers and assist with product selections and process all customer orders or returns.
  • Support and model excellent service by exhibiting a positive attitude and enthusiasm toward the job and company to both internal and external customers in all forms of communication.
  • Communicate customer feedback to store management team concerning policies and/or product requests, problems and suggestions.
  • Support and maintain store sales and service goals and standards as communicated by the Assistant Store Leader, Design & Trade.
  • Support all efforts and initiatives across all business channels in an effort to maximize company sales growth and profitability.

What is the Role?

  • Bring the CAMP brand to life. Provide a fully immersive experience for customers of all ages by:
    • Welcoming every guest who walks into our store with a custom greeting and performing your own magic door entrance!
    • Playing with and engaging families as they journey through CAMP experience
    • Demoing and playing with products
    • Customizing personal shopping experiences for each family based on their interests and what they'd like to bring home that day.
      • This involves engaging in conversations with families about what they are interested in and for what ages and introducing them to relevant items as well as items they didn't know they want or need, ultimately netting in purchases!
    • Checking families out at the register and letting them know about upcoming programs or other CAMP news
  • Achieve sales targets and KPI's through consistent commitment to providing best in class selling experiences
  • Build repeat customer base by creating a selling culture that is approachable, unique and tailored to individual customer needs

What is required?

  • Ensure proper safety, maintenance, cleanliness, and image standards are maintained for the entire store through store image reviews, proper merchandising, safety audits, and proper use of the daily and weekly shift duties lists
  • Assists store manager with recruiting quality applicants
  • Ensures store security and safety for all customers and employees. Promptly reports any incident
  • Assists Store Manager by maximizing sales and gross profit dollars by responsible and profitable marketing of merchandise and proper product availability and display
  • Execute merchandising plans utilizing proper merchandizing techniques to ensure products are effectively displayed and promoted in-store.

Whether you're just starting out or have years of sales experience, you can earn $16.00 to $1.00 per hour in base pay, plus up to 16,000 a year in individual-based commissions if you hit all your sales goals. Planning to go above and beyond? With our commission program, the opportunities are unlimited for employees who exceed their sales goals. Top performers could make an extra 14,500 or more in individual-based commissions, giving you the chance to earn a total of 65,000+ to 73,500+ annually. Compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

What we're looking for.

You'll need to have:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (you'll know your schedule four weeks in advance).
  • Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during the summer months, November through December, and/or during peak vacation periods.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Experience working in a commission-based environment.
  • Demonstrated sales experience communicating with customers to find solutions.
  • Customer service experience.
