Expert CNO Developers at Nightwing analyze systems to understand how they work and how they behave when they break. Candidates must be able to play both sides of the fence, both developing and defeating new and advanced security techniques. Senior CNO developers need to have leadership experience and working with customer stakeholders to drive requirements for small to medium sized projects over the course of their development, test, and release cycles. All our engineers write code, but many of our engineers spend as much time taking systems apart as building new ones. A typical day can involve studying disassembly or writing Python to audit a piece of C++ code.

This position is an onsite role.

Basic Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and six (6) years’ experience or minimum ten (10) years’ experience in relevant field,

• Minimum six (8) years’ experience programming in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, and/or Python,

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience developing in one (1) or more of the following: Windows applications using Visual Studio or .NET environments; UNIX applications using make files or comparable build environments; mission-applicable platforms,

• Minimum four (6) years of experience with programming CNO tools and techniques,

• Minimum two (5) years of experience programming CNO tools for the US Government,

• Minimum two (4) years of experience developing packet-level programs, and

• Minimum two (4) years of experience in network sockets programming.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required prior to start date.

Specialized Qualifications:

• Experience with designing and writing code in C, C++, or similar with a focus on implementing SSL/TLS protocols,

• Expertise in analyzing and securing SSL/TLS protocols,

• Proficiency in analyzing network traffic using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, or custom scripts,

• Understanding of advanced cryptographic attacks and knowledge of secure coding practices to prevent vulnerabilities (e.g., SSL stripping, man-in-the-middle attacks),

• Solid understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, IDSs, IPSs, and protocols like HTTPS, SSH, and TCP/IP,

• Experience with project management best practices such as Scrum and Kanban methodologies, and

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) along with understanding of basic configuration management principles.

**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Oversee daily operations of the Network Architecture and Design teams, ensuring that the network architectural standards and structures are strictly followed & implemented by every step of the design processes
+ Develop, document, implement and maintain the network architectural standards that enable design and automation practices to function with a high degree of quality and efficiency
+ Deliver highly reliable, repeatable patterns for local area networks (LAN), wireless (WLAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud and the security measures required to protect from all manner of cyber threats
+ Analyze network performance, planning for future capacity needs, and making recommendations for upgrades and improvements to ensure optimal performance and scalability for the enterprise network

+ Work collaboratively across all sectors of the IT organization and business organizations to achieve "silent" operations and superlative productivity for the company

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):**

+ 3+ years of experience in managing and/or leading network and/or security design and architecture
