Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and verify the integrity of converted data, comparing it with incumbent solution in relation to BS&A Community Development Software.
  • Documenting and resolving issues, risks, and actions related to the conversion
  • Assist in developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including data mappings, data dictionaries, and technical specifications
  • Design and run conversion verification routines from a variety of competitive software products
  • Develop/test/execute data conversion verification routines within an established conversion framework in a timely and accurate manner
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of multiple BS&A modules and their database layout
  • Collaborate with fellow BS&A team members, including Conversion Engineers, Project Managers, Implementation & Training Services Specialists, and customers to ensure successful data conversion


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, and/or relevant work experience
  • Knowledgeable in GovTech Community Development Software.
  • Experience (2-3 years) with SQL programming languages
  • Experience (2-3 years) with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • Knowledge of data architecture, database structure, and data modeling techniques
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly with data validation
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skill in prioritizing competing priorities to ensure successful project execution

As the Data Analyst at NFP, you will be responsible for supporting the Implementation Leads in converting data from legacy operating systems to NFP's standard Operating systems. You will report directly to the Director of Data Conversions.

Responsibilities:
  • Obtain data from source systems in various different formats. Must be able to format the data into a standard template, often using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL, Alteryx or other analytics applications.
  • Collaborate with the agency and/or Project leads to facilitate cleanup and complete mapping/translating the data from source to destination.
  • Assist with the preparation and formatting of Carrier and Employee lists for discussions with the agency, finalize information for mappings, and configuration setup in the agency management system.
  • May be required to attend on-site events with the agency during specific points in the implementation process.
  • Validate data using various reports and conversion tools to determine any conversion issues or further cleanup as needed.
  • Facilitate data reviews to ensure on-time completion and data quality.
  • Become knowledgeable in the flow of information (data/documents/transactions/messages).
  • Track conversion issues to ensure these are reported, fixed and validated.
  • Collaborate with the development team on any tooling requirements for conversion projects.
  • Ensure various milestones are met in accordance with the project plan and timeline.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years Brokerage / Insurance Agency Management System experience
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Occasional after hours and weekend work will be required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including lookups, other formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to drive tasks to completion without major oversight.
  • Ability to take on a variety of projects and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Professional presentation skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to consider tasks from multiple angles to produce robust analyses.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Alteryx experience.
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience.
  • Experience with conversion of data from one system to another.
  • Prior involvement with a large organization's system implementation.
  • Reside within the East Coast time zone

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client was established in 1977 to assist employers with the implementation and operation of Defined Contribution, Defined Benefit and other employee benefit plans. They have evolved into one of the largest employee benefit firms in Southwestern Ohio.

Their staff of more than 50 professionals support a client base of over 475 companies. Our client serves clients nationally, as well as regionally in our primary market of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana from our administration center and headquarters located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Conversion Analyst coordinates, manages and assists in all phases of plan set-up for start-up and conversion plans.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Prepare appropriate forms, applications, contracts and/or letters to facilitate the transition from the prior service provider.
  • Ensure the appropriate forms, applications, and contracts are completed by the client to establish the trustee and trading platforms.
  • Set up of new plans on multiple software platforms.
  • Gathering outstanding documentation from clients necessary for conversions and mergers.
  • Work closely with Marketing (Sales) and PCA's internal ERISA Legal Counsel on plan conversion and set-up.
  • Responsible for gathering, scrubbing, loading and balancing conversion data.
  • If applicable, set up of Trading Link (Matrix, Schwab Trust, Fidelity Trust, TD Ameritrade, etc.).
  • If applicable, transfer of assets to new investment companies.
  • Ensure that conversion funds are appropriately invested.
  • Conduct Conference calls with client and the prior service providers to ensure smooth transition.
  • Create Database shell; work with Account Executive and ERISA Legal Counsel to complete plan information.
  • Successful transfer of plan data to the Account Executive (Account Manager). Assist with the first Daily Valuation if necessary. • Conversion of existing plans to a different trading platform.
  • Problem solving necessary to ensure the smooth transfer of the data each day.
  • Responsible for plans deconverting from PCA to another recordkeeper. Coordinate with the new service provider to assist in a smooth transition.
  • Assist with updates and changes to the various software systems as it relates to initial set up.
  • Assist with all software system updates for existing plan as needed
  • Create materials for clients on website functionalities, update as needed for system changes.
  • Help with Payroll Integration set up with the various payroll providers and the client. Make sure all necessary information is being populated and systems are set to receive. Test the files to ensure their quality.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • ASPPA or CEBS designation(s) preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience with retirement plan recordkeeping, preferably in Implementation Project Management/Conversions

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Onsite Monday-Friday - ability to work hybrid after one year of employment
  • Location: Cincinnati, OH
  • Compensation: $60k-$75k (depending on experience) plus bonus opportunities.
