Job Summary and QualificationsDevelop, implement, coordinate and evaluate Chippenham and Johnston-Willis Hospitals Emergency Operation Plan (EOP). Review the emergencyC management Policies and Procedures (P/P) to comply with Joint Commision and all regulatory agencies. Assists with coordinating the Command Center efforts during the response phase of an incident. Interacts with the community to Integrate planning and response efforts
Duties:
- Coordinates Emergency Management Planning and analysis of vulnerability to disaster
- Coordinates planning and implementation of Emergency Management Drills
- Coordinates regulatory agency documentation requirements for Emergency Management
- Budget: Plans for funding of exercise and education related to emergency management through ASPR grant.
- Instructs hospital decontamination class
- Demonstrates the positive behaviors as outlined in the Standards of Behavior and reelects understanding and support of the organizational values, policies set forth in the mission of Chippenham and Johnston-Willis
- Ability to complete ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 within 6 months of employment.
- Two years experience in emergency management planning and training.
- Valid Virginia Drivers License with acceptably clean driving record
- Knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Knowledge of Joint Commission standards related to Emergency Management preferred.
- Knowledge/ experience in emergency preparedness/ management related to "All Hazards" approach to emergency management preferred.
- Experience in creating positive and collaborative relationships with local, county, and other authorities preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical skills preferred.
- Knowledge of budgets, grants and grants management./ administration preferred.
