**Independence Consultant, Core Business Services, Risk Management (Senior Associate) (Multiple Positions) (1596637), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Stamford, CT.**
Responsible for performing independence-related due diligence, research and analysis. Identify key Risk Management & Independence issues and risks in the EY Alliance & Ecosystem due diligence and monitor process by comparing facts and circumstances to current policies. Coordinate information and analysis requests from Alliance & Ecosystem Relationship Teams and understand complex, non-routine questions from client teams, and coordinate appropriate responses through consultation. Recommend improvements, and/or develop new approaches or deliverables, by utilizing your knowledge of existing processes, and your business experience. Develop an enhanced understanding of the key EY Independence Policies and regulatory frameworks related to Alliances & Ecosystem Relationships.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and 3 years of related work experience; or a Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and 2 years of related work experience.
Must have 2 years of experience at a professional services firm or a mid-sized/regional to large-sized/national public accounting firm working with risk management.
Must have 2 years of experience in analyzing risks related to regulatory independence policies and regulator's rules.
Must have 2 years of experience in recommending improvements related to independence due diligence and monitoring processes.
Must have 2 years of experience in developing new approaches or deliverables related to independence due diligence and monitoring processes.
Must have 2 years of experience with project management and analytical tools, including Microsoft suite.
Must have 2 years of experience with general business issues including: sharing, relating and communicating technical and business knowledge across clients without violating confidentiality.
Domestic travel required up to 20% to serve client needs.

Duties: Lead and manage team of software professionals. Drive technical strategy and innovation aligning it with the company's business goals. Ensure best practices in software development, including code quality, testing and documentation. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Design, develop and implement software solutions. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre- defined architectural specifications. Lead the design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Senior Manager of Software Engineering, Lead Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, Technical Lead, Project Lead, IT Consultant, or related occupation. Skills Required: This position requires 5 years of experience with: designing, developing and deploying web- based scalable and resilient enterprise applications using Java or Python; managing and leading a team of software engineers and providing guidance, mentorship and support; implementing security measures including authentication, authorization, encryption and secure coding practices; designing and implementing RESTFul API's with utilizing best practices for API security, versioning, and documentation; using Apache Kafka for building real time data pipelines and streaming applications; and Oracle, including database modeling, optimization and management. This position requires 4 years of experience with the following: designing, developing and deploying Microservices-based applications. This position requires 3 years of experience with the following: building dynamic and responsive web applications using Nodejs and React application; No-SQL databases such as Cassandra, Redis or Mongo DB; CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Sonar and GIT to build with automated testing frameworks and practices to ensure high quality code; creating and managing Docker images and containers; and container orchestration tool such as Kubernetes, AWS, or Cloud Foundry.
