Position Objective
The IS division is looking for an experienced Field Service Technician to support our Engineered Systems (ENSY) team that is headquartered in Plymouth, MN. The goal is to deliver the desired customer service experience and drive service success that improves customer satisfaction and maximizes customer retention. Responsibilities
- Safety is number one in everything you do.
- Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic job responsibilities with reach and lifting equipment. Operate vehicles in a safe manner (rental, company and other vehicles, forklift, scissor lift, etc.)
- Service: Perform diagnostic troubleshooting on existing equipment either remotely via phone and other systems or on-site (individual items or assemblies in system for application).
- Diagnose errors, faults or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Installation of Wagner powder coating systems in North America.
- Responsible Wagner representative onsite, communication of needs and schedule to team according to installation documentation.
- Pre-assemble system components in MN prior to shipment to customer.
- General warehouse tasks during off service weeks
- Demonstration Lab Support
- Assisting with and performing lab trials, industry trainings, general housekeeping
- Produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Build positive relationships with customers.

Relationship To Others
Works closely and collaborates with the Engineered Systems (ENSY) team including sales managers and the technical team. Communicates with customers to understand requirements and provide appropriate solutions for repairs and installations.

Understand and create solutions to meet customers' needs. Has authority to do what is required to make sure that all systems are operating properly to meet customer expectations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma and 2-year technical degree; and 3+ years of progressive experience preferably in the industrial application and finishing industry; or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, training, and experience as determined by the hiring manager and Human Resources.
Must have a valid driver license and a valid passport to be able to work and travel in North America.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven field service experience.
- Professional appearance considering the tasks to be carried out.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service electro pneumatic equipment.
- Ability to read and understand general electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics (European and US formats).
- Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules with overtime, weekends, and holidays likely.
- Familiarity with standard hand tools and proper applications of each.
- Understanding of basic industrial process automation / PLC systems (in/out logic not programming).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Familiar with SharePoint platform and AutoCAD a plus.
- Use of Multi meter and common hand tools.
- Organizational skills - calendar use, personal, lab and departmental, timekeeping
- Communication - good in person, phone and digital presence.
- Experience and comfortable presenting to small groups.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a field setting. A job in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree or may involve sitting with long periods of computer work and phone usage. Frequent lifting of articles or heavier materials with help from others and/or lifting and carrying light objects frequently will be required. Travel is required within North America up to 80%; day trips up to 3 weeks on the road.

- Install, troubleshoot, and repair healthcare equipment for clients.

- Document any issue that arise with photos and detailed notes. (This will also need to be reported to field manager in real time).
- Upload photos and sign off into company system.
- Manage Clients Parts Inventory
- Prior to beginning installation, you will need to identify all inventory is onsite.
- Report any damaged or broken inventory immediately.
- You will want to record part number and provide photos.
- These units will need to be placed back in their box.
- Training
- Installation documents and videos will be provided to review prior to the beginning of any project.
Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ years of field service experience
- Proficient working with all standard hand tools, power drills, levels, etc.
