The hourly pay rate for this is $19.50. GXO, in good faith, believes this is the pay rate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted rate and this rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New Jersey. This rate may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for hourly shift differential. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Support operations by moving material and inventory throughout the facility
- Use hand trucks, conveyors or other material handling equipment
- Perform duties that may include packing, scanning, kitting or counting products
- Verify orders, label products and use a handheld scanner
- Adhere to the 7S program
- Maintain a clean environment at all times
- Work in a safe manner that protects you and your team members
At a minimum, you'll need:
- To be at least 18 years of age
- The ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedural documents
- 1 year of experience in a warehouse environment
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including possible overtime when needed
- Experience using a handheld scanner
- Positive attitude and the ability to work in a team to achieve goals and objectives
- Lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods of time
- Bend, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull
- Handle or manage tools or equipment
- Tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments

The Opportunity
As an Office Services Specialist you will report directly to the Office Services Supervisor. You will support incoming packages and freight in the warehouse portion of our corporate headquarters. You will also assist in setting up for site events. The position is based in West Chester, PA.
Your Impact
- Prepare shipments for postal or commercial conveyance determining the most economical and efficient shipping method
- Prepares bills of lading
- Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares to packing slip with purchase order for verification of accuracy
- Sorts, counts, packages, labels, unpacks and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received
- Inspect shipments for damage or defects and record noted discrepancies/defects to supervisor and/or purchasing personnel
- Delivering items to requisitioning departments
- Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments
- Event set up and breakdowns following conference room configurations, including furniture and room/space requirements per business needs
- May operate machinery and equipment subject to license, and/or company vehicle
- High school diploma or GED with the equivalent combination of training and experience
- 1+ years' experience in a mail room setting or office environment
- Knowledge of postal or commercial shipping methods
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs
- Driver's license required to drive company vehicles
