Job Responsibilities:

• Prior experience with forklift equipment

We are a highly automated, Best-In-Class aluminum extrusion and tube mill facility looking for safety conscious, collaborative, hardworking Shipping Specialist to join our Kaiser Aluminum team in Bellwood Virginia. The Shipping Specialist is a full-time United Steelworker represented opportunity 3:00pm – 11:00pm, Monday – Friday .

Pay rate: $27.53/hour plus .25/hour shift differential

What you will work on:

• Performs a wide variety of tasks to ensure 100% accurate on-time deliveries.
• Maintains an accurate inventory on all raw materials and work in process to eliminate excess change overs and downtime.
• Verifies all raw materials from suppliers are on time to meet production schedule.
• Completes all shipping and customs paperwork including customer orders and scrap shipments.
• Raises issues that may affect delivery performance and suggest solutions.

Job Purpose: Position will report to the Warehouse Supervisor. Works effectively and efficiently in a warehouse environment to received and schedule shipping and freight operations, including developing a working knowledge of warehouse organization and creating proper and detailed shipping documentation. Print all pertinent paper work for shipping.
Coordinate with the dock and the drivers what door they will be loading product in.
Insure all paperwork is properly signed by pick up driver.
Close loads in the system.
Coordinate with Customer Service Teams regarding special paperwork for certain orders such as: international, customers that prefer special BOL’s etc. Enter customer orders and scan / index documents as required.
Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of RJW.
Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain confidentiality of company information.
Recommend improvements and implement approved improvements.
Update reports as required by operations manager and COO.

The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, selecting, packing, shipping and/or distributing and putting away warehouse inventory. The shipping and receiving clerk will complete paperwork for domestic and international shipments as well as work closely with the customer service team. In addition to these duties the Shipping & Receiving Clerk will occasionally assist with the production of materials as needed.
**RESPONSABILITIES:**
+ Unload trucks, check vendor packing list with items received and verify accuracy of items with purchase orders and receive incoming material into ERP system.
+ Note items received, order discrepancies and damage on packing list. Inform quality control of damaged materials when received.
+ Place stock items in appropriate bin location and move nonstock items to shipping staging area.
+ Prepare orders for shipment via UPS/Fed EX, or LTL Freight via shipping solutions, pull items from storage locations and staging area, palletize as necessary, attach shipping labels, prepare bills of lading, contact carrier for pick up and load trucks for domestic and international shipments.
+ Enter all shipped orders and create invoices in ERP system daily.
+ Complete pick tickets.
+ Maintain shipping/receiving department records, equipment, and supplies.
+ Collaborate with purchasing team to order shipping supplies as needed.
+ Inspect customer returned goods for accuracy and condition. Report damaged returns to quality control team.
+ Perform inventory duties as required.
+ Assist in production as needed to include operating slitter machine.
+ Collaborate with Customer Service personnel to facilitate order processing and answer any questions pertaining to shipping/receiving functions.
+ Complete certifications requested by customers and inform quality control that they are ready to be reviewed before sending to customer with orders.
+ Handle waste including Hazmat.
+ Utilizes Forklift as needed.

Shift: 1st Shift; M-F

Pay: $20/ hour

Job Purpose: Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; ensure all shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded properly; perform duties to provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving handling activities. Ensure that Material Handlers are operating forklift and walkies safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures. This position reports to Cross Dock Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Properly receive, unload, load shipments in/out of the Cross Dock
Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
Knowledge of QMS (Quality Management Systems) and Lean Warehousing Experience operating material handling equipment and using an RF scanner
Flexible to work 10 to 12 hour shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights.
Loads and unloads RJW truck / trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment.
Must comply with the company’s safety policies while using lifting devices (forklifts and scissor lifts) and clean initiative standards.
Oversees storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the dock staging lanes or racks
Learn day to day warehouse operations.
Verify orders are complete and accurate.
Unload, Load and or Pick each customer order in the most effective manner possible to minimize shipping costs and insure product safety.

Job Purpose: Position will report to the Warehouse Manager. Supervise warehouse operations as required. Communicate transitional information from night shift to day shift. Manage any staff assigned to shift including employee performance reviews and any disciplinary actions. Oversees for the supervision of all computer entry work and all paperwork flow.

• Responsible for assigning work assignments for all 2nd shift warehouse staffing, keeping in mind customer specifications, up to and including driver departure times to meet delivery schedules.

• Ensure that the department staff meets the requirements of each customer and that any requirement changes are up-dated and all staffing is trained on any changes to a customer.
• Ensure the updating of the Tee Card board and TMW system.
• Communicate with customers and respond to inquiries as needed, implementing any actions required.
• Responsible for communicating via e-mail prior to the end of each shift to ensure a smooth Transition of daily work-flow, issues, customer concerns, or any maintenance issue that have been reported.
• Ensure the safety, training and development of employees, drivers, and contractors, in accordance with OSHA and RJW policies and procedures.
• Oversee the completion of all computer data entry as required, checking for accuracy and efficiency

• Completes building checks daily notifying Warehouse Director of equipment or building problems or preventive maintenance needed and assist with maintaining equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations.
• Ensures that warehouse employees adhere to all AIB processes, procedures and guidelines, and that they have had the AIB training for handling any food products in the course of their employment.
• Assure that all checklists for building, equipment, and safety are completed as designated by the SOP or Policy. Issue any corrective actions or work orders needed to correct or fix any issues.
• Ensures that proper procedures are taken with any and all accident reporting, handling the care of any injured employee, and making sure HR and management are notified of any emergency actions taken.
• Perform assigned tasks or other duties as instructed by Warehouse Manager or COO.

Education and/or Experience Required:

• Minimum of H.S. diploma or GED equivalent
• Some college preferred.
