**Job Summary**
Responsible for the management, coordination and supervision of one or more AEP construction projects. Direct and administer the planning, scheduling, QA/QC, contract administration, coordination, and supervision of all construction work activities in a safe, efficient and economical manner. Provide leadership, communication and develop partnerships with internal (plant management teams) and external customers, labor contractors, suppliers, vendors, and governmental agencies.

+ Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met; interface with and is accountable to project management and plant management to assure that the project targets and goals pertaining to safety, scope, schedule, quality, cost control, and project plan execution are met or exceeded; study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.
+ Support and hold employees and contractors accountable for the AEP System Safety Process, ensuring a safe working environment focused on Zero Harm; inspect work to monitor and ensure safety and environmental policies are being followed and that projects are being constructed per the specifications, drawings and permits.
+ Coordinate with project management and engineering & design groups to ensure the appropriate drawings are issued and available to support construction activities.
+ Develops partnerships / relationships with AEP generation, trade union labor, contractors, vendors, suppliers and government agencies. Develop staffing levels of Staff Aug and direct hire personnel for projects. Lead and oversee the development of a site-specific quantity tracking sheet to be used for tracking costs, schedule and invoicing. Provide training and guidance to others to support team goals. Comply with and promote ethically sound behavior and instill a sense of shared accountability among employees.
+ Seek input from Subject Matter Experts by asking the right questions, understanding the nuances and by clarifying and validating information and not by relying on one own knowledge base of assumptions.
**What we're looking for:**
+ Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, engineering technology, or related field plus 8 years of experience in industrial construction projects, project management, project controls, and/or fossil fuel plant operations **OR**
+ Associate's degree in related field with 10 years of relevant work experience **OR**
+ High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of relevant work experience.
+ Must currently have a domicile in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, or Louisiana or prior to start date.

Job Description
As a Site Construction Surveyor, you will perform construction stakeout, topography, as-built, and control surveys for various site features. You will utilize AutoCAD and Trimble GPS to extract and manage stakeout points from digital base maps and construction drawings. Your role will involve interpreting engineering plans and translating them into accurate field layouts, while setting up and operating surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate field notes, records, and documentation of survey data, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure alignment with project requirements, and conducting as-built surveys to provide feedback for design adjustments as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Perform construction stakeout, topography, as-built, and control surveys for various site features.

We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator with Civil Site Construction experience to join our team! The ideal candidate would be a proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives under guidance but also excels working independently. Recent growth has led to opportunities to join our established civil construction company in the Brandon/Riverview area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review of preliminary and final civil construction plans in preparation for bid proposals.
• Review appropriate municipal specifications.
• Perform quantity takeoffs of earthwork, grading, paving, utilities, and site concrete for private and public sector projects.
• Obtain and review vendor quotations.
• Various office tasks related to construction estimating on an as needed basis.

Requirements

• Able to read and interpret civil construction plans and documents.
• Able to adhere to guidelines and complete project tasks in established time frames.
• A detail-oriented team player with strong communications skills.
• Familiar with MS Office, AGTEK, Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
• Professional experience in earthwork, utilities and roadwork construction is required.
• 5 + years in Civil Construction is HIGHLY preferred.
• Civil engineering or related construction degree a plus but not required.
