**THE POSITION**

In the **Principal Process Safety Management Engineer** position, you will be a process safety professional for our **Health Safety & Environment (HSE)** function in the **Energy & Sustainability Solutions (ESS)** business unit. This position reports directly to the Head of HSE for ESS. You will enable successful process safety performance and operational excellence across the enterprise. You will accomplish this by collaborating with the process safety network and establishing strong working relationships with the employees at the site. You will be a key process safety resource by implementing sustainable programs through integration of process safety best practices and continuous improvement of the process safety management program.
The position is a hybrid role that can report into the following Honeywell locations: **Houston, TX, Charlotte, NC, or Rosemont, IL.**

+ **Process Safety Management (PSM):**
+ Develop and maintain Process Safety Management programs in compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
+ Conduct regular audits and assessments of chemical processes to proactively identify potential process safety risks.
+ Analyze data from process safety metrics and incident reports to improve PSM practices.
+ **Risk Assessment and Analysis:**
+ Implement hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), layer of protection analysis (LOPA), dust hazards analysis (DHA), and quantitative risk assessments (QRA) to identify high-risk areas.
+ Develop and implement process hazards analysis (PHA) recommendations to reduce risk and improve operational reliability.
+ Ensure programs are fit for purpose and drive risk mitigation at the appropriate level
+ **Incident Investigation and Reporting:**
+ Lead incident learning / investigations of process safety events, loss of containment, and near-miss events to identify root causes and recommend sustainable corrective actions.
+ Prepare detailed reports and presentations on findings and recommendations for management review.
+ **Regulatory Compliance:**
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding chemical safety and environmental impact.
+ Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and guidelines and adjust PSM programs accordingly.
+ **Collaboration and Communication:**
+ Work closely with sites, engineering, and maintenance teams to enhance process safety awareness and practices across all levels of the organization.
+ **Continuous Improvement:**
+ Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of process safety performance and overall operational excellence while maintaining programs that are fit for purpose.
+ Utilize technical expertise and industry knowledge to propose innovative solutions to safety challenges.
**YOU MUST HAVE**
+ 5-10 years of experience with Process Safety and Risk Management
+ Experience interpreting and providing direction with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulations
+ Proficiency in hazard identification and risk assessment techniques (e.g., HAZOP, What-If, LOPA, QRA, DHA)
+ Familiarity with NFPA combustible dust requirements and dust hazards analysis
+ Familiarity with modeling software (e.g., PHAST, SaferOne)

ABOUT THE ROLE
To obtain and monitor, by chemical and physical tests, representative samples from the Production Department of raw materials, feed, clinker and cement, and advise them of adjustments to ensure a quality product with a minimum of variations.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
- Analyze raw mix with X-ray, wet or physical analysis and instruct Raw Grind on change, and assist in solving any problems.
- Monitor clinker production with X-ray or wet analysis and insure quality clinker used in cement production.
- Monitor cement production with X-ray, wet or physical analyses and oversee adjustments to proportions, admixtures, fineness and air content, assist in solving any problems.
- Record accurately and timely, data for use by management and other departments.
- Perform complete ASTM chemical and physical test on daily composite samples to insure product meets strict plant standards.
- Perform periodic calibration and preventive maintenance checks on all equipment and maintain chemical solutions.
- Run proficiency samples against other labs.
- Take inventories of gypsum and admixtures.
- Perform microscopic evaluation of cement and clinker.
- Run heat content on calorimeter.

Details:
A growing precision manufacturing company in Northwest Houston is expanding their Quality team and looking to add three experienced Quality Control Inspectors. This is a full-time opportunity with growth potential and competitive compensation based on experience and education.
The company offers full benefits including 100% company-paid HMO plan, a partially-covered PPO option, 401K (with match coming soon), and two weeks of vacation.
Focus Includes:
+ Performing in-process and final inspections of machined parts using a variety of precision tools
+ Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, routers, and work orders to verify compliance with specifications
+ Logging inspection results and maintaining detailed quality documentation
+ Identifying defects, evaluating nonconformances, and ensuring parts meet internal and customer requirements
+ Serving as a liaison for source inspections and answering related inquiries
+ Assisting in the training and coaching of junior-level inspectors
+ Supporting a quality-driven production environment through collaboration and accurate feedback
Top consideration given to candidates with:
+ 4+ years of hands-on inspection experience in a manufacturing setting
+ Proficiency with GD&T and understanding of advanced inspection techniques
+ Familiarity with tools such as micrometers, calipers, gage pins, thread gages, dial indicators, and optical comparators
+ Previous experience using visual and digital inspection equipment including Keyence systems
+ Working knowledge of quality standards such as AS9100
+ Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications
+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
