The City of Taylor is seeking candidates for a Supervisor position located at the Taylor Sportsplex, within the City of Taylor.
There is no required experience for this position, but previous managerial or supervisory experience is certainly preferable.
POSITION SUMMARY :This position will be responsible for overseeing daily facility operations and employee performance during their particular shift. A shift supervisor's job description involves a variety of different tasks, from assisting customers to reporting daily building requirements/needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Key Tasks and Responsibilities; other duties may be assigned by the Director and/or designee)
- Assigns tasks to employees.
- Oversees opening and closing of facility.
- Writes up reports of employee behavior or customer complaints.
- Keeps the facility clean and organized.
- Addresses and resolves customer complaints.
- Counts out registers at shift's end.
- Keeps upper level management aware of daily operations.
- Completes any additional tasks assigned by upper management.
- Must be able to lift, handle, and carry, supply, small-wares, equipment, garbage bags, supplies and paper goods at a minimum of 10 pounds constantly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to occasionally stand for multiple hours at a time.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat on a frequent basis to be able to clean certain areas.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and listen attentively to employees and customers.
- Must be able to work the hours necessary to ensure that the Taylor Sportsplex, as a building, is maintained in a cleanly manner primarily during large events, and is in good order for either the afternoon shift to come in, or the morning shift to take over the next day.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Under the general direction of the Manager of Academic Services, the Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and supervision of FACTS Education schools and instructors in Florida. This includes ensuring compliance with FACTS Title I Program guidelines and district requirements. The Supervisor also provides coaching and support to assigned schools as needed, in collaboration with the Manager of Teacher Coaching.
In addition, this position will oversee the FACTS Education Midwest Territory, with a primary focus on the Detroit, MI region.
The starting salary for this position is $65,000 annually.
+ Supervise tutors, teachers, counselors in accordance with FACTS Education policies and Florida specific district regulations.
+ Work with schools to create programs and set up services in accordance with available funds and Title I-eligible students.
+ Support recruitment and selection (interview and confer with principal), hiring, and onboarding (including fingerprinting) of tutors, teachers, counselors (instructional associates).
+ Meet with all new and returning Title I associates to ensure proper program implementation. Ensure each instructional associate has necessary materials and their student groups/schedule (per district requirements).
+ Act as a mentor to instructional associates to ensure optimal student outcomes.
+ Provide feedback to Title Account Manager & Team Leads and the Manager of the Academic Services Program regarding instructor performance to include any issues/concerns.

+ Ensure instructional associates have appropriately assessed students within applicable assessment windows and lead onsite Data Reviews (post-assessment windows) for iReady and school-wide assessment. Establish short- and long-range program goals and objectives addressing subject areas determined by district. Support teachers in creating student learning plans based on data collection and review.
+ Deliver/conduct parent orientation and parent/family engagement events. Collect and submit pertinent compliance paperwork.
+ Complete tasks on Monthly Supervisory Checklists.
+ Provide site-based coaching to teachers of Title I-eligible students. Coaching activities include observing instructional delivery and providing feedback to enhance the instructional performance of a teacher and to improve student achievement in specified content areas. All coaching activities will require completion of coaching logs, per the direction of the Manager of Teacher Coaching.
+ Attend virtual FACTS Team Meetings as scheduled, including teacher cohort meetings.
+ Support Summer School launch and implementation at assigned schools, as appropriate.
+ Travel (including overnight stays) to non-public schools (outside of designated district) to set up, launch, and maintain Title I programs.
**EDUCATION:**
Bachelor's degree in education or education-related field (Master's degree, preferred).
**EXPERIENCE:**
