Compensation:

  • BTIG offers a competitive compensation andbenefits package . Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
  • The current estimated base salary range for this role is $160,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.

Description of Services:
The Engineering Department, Operations Division - Engineering Solutions Unit (ES) The Engineering Solutions Applications group supports project delivery and reporting through consultation, development, testing and implementation of system applications and workflows. The group maintains and supports various Engineering Department platforms and acts as the ons department's liaison with the Technology Department. The Engineering Solutions Unit is seeking an individual to maintain and enhance in-house custom developed .Net web applications and Windows console applications for the Engineering Department., as outlined below. Below are consultant services and the required experience and qualifications to perform these services.

Consultant Services
  • Services to be performed by the candidate may include, but shall not be limited to, the following:
  • Perform services to maintain and enhance existing Engineering customized .Net applications.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces and integrations between various Engineering applications, including but not limited to data transfer using in-house or third-party web services, SQL Server ETL packages, SharePoint online data import and export, Azure Data Lake data import and export, and Esri GIS integration.
  • At the direction of the Authority and in coordination with the Application group Project Manager and Technical Lead, design, develop, test and deploy new custom applications, as required.
  • Maintain and support the SQL Server Report Services (SSRS) reports for Engineering applications.
  • Provide general Engineering help desk support as a member of the Applications Support Team.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

To be considered for the services the candidate must demonstrate the required education, technical qualifications, experience, and soft skills outlined below:

REQUIRED Education, Technical Qualifications and Experience
  • Must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Minimum 5 years strong demonstrated experience in web application full stack development using ASP.Net Web Forms and ASP.Net MVC
  • Minimum 5 years strong demonstrated experience in C# programming with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Minimum 5 years strong demonstrated experience in developing frontend using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Minimum 2 years strong demonstrated experience in developing .NET applications with React.js as the frontend and Node.js as backend middleware or service layers
  • Minimum 2 years strong demonstrated experience in database design and development in a Microsoft SQL Server environment including stored procedure, functions and data modeling, proficient in Entity Framework or other ORM technologies
  • Minimum 2 years strong experience developing or maintaining system integration interface, REST API, web services
  • Minimum 1 year solid demonstrated experience with version control tools Git and Azure DevOps
  • Minimum 1 year solid experience in report development using Microsoft SSRS
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and demonstrate proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro.

REQUIRED Soft Skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities.
  • Excellent oral, written and communication skills.

Preferred Technical Qualifications and Experience

Below are preferred technical qualifications and experience but not required.
  • Advanced degrees are highly desirable.
  • Experience with AI API integration, knowledge of machine learning workflows and leverage pre-trained models is highly preferred.
  • Experience with UI/UX design in Figma or similar platform is highly preferred.
  • Experience with build/deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Experience in Python and Esri GIS data integration is preferred.
  • Experience with Enterprise Content Management solutions such as SharePoint or OpenText are preferred.
  • Familiarity with web security best practices and authentication frameworks (e.g., OAuth2, JWT)
  • Some exposure or knowledge developing or maintaining application in the Azure cloud environment.
