The applicable base salary range for this role is $96,500 to $168,800.

The Web Content Manager will play a key role in maintaining, updating, and enhancing CFCC web and portal presence to ensure an engaging, accessible, and user-friendly experience for students, faculty, staff, and the community.
As a Community Relations team member, this position requires a combination of technical expertise, creativity, and excellent communication skills.

The Web Content Manager will report to the Director of Marketing and will not supervise employees.

Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
ESSENTIAL AND OTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS:

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:
  • Develop, update, and maintain the college website to strengthen the user experience and ensure accuracy, relevance, and accessibility.
  • Manage updates and website requests to the cfcc.edu website and my.cfcc.edu portal.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather content and requirements for website updates and new initiatives.
  • Ensure website content is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Implement best practices in web design, user experience (UX), and search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance the effectiveness of the college website.
  • Create and optimize multimedia content for online platforms, including images, videos, and interactive elements.
  • Monitor website performance and analytics to identify areas for improvement and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in web development and digital marketing to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards and regulations, such as WCAG and Section 508.
  • Prepare necessary performance and traffic reports for the cfcc.edu website.
  • Learn the college CRM platform (Element 451) and become a comfortable system user within the College's web assets.
  • Utilize embedded page widgets to enhance functionality and improve user engagement on web pages.
  • Serve as IT liaison for the Community Relations department.
Other Important Functions:
  • Pay close attention to detail and submit error-free work.
  • Write copy for the web that aligns with the College's voice as needed.
  • Maintain an organized office environment and save files in an organized, accessible manner.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong understanding of web design principles, UX/UI concepts, and responsive design techniques.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A detail-oriented approach focusing on quality assurance and user experience is needed.
  • Strong understanding of ADA compliance requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficient English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and Associated Press (AP) writing style.
  • Experience working in a higher-ed setting.
  • Experience working with WordPress and CRMs.
  • Experience using various analytics software.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization and best practices.
Knowledge of:
  • HTML/CSS with a working knowledge of Bootstrap
  • Content Management Systems (preferably WordPress)
  • Google Analytics
  • Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
  • Online design tools (PiktoChart, Canva, etc.)
  • ADA compliance requirements and remediation, using ADA audit tools

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:

Minimum Education/Training:

A Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, information technology, or a related field.
Minimum Experience :
Proven experience in front-end web development, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience customizing and extending WordPress or similar CMS platforms

Back-End Software Developer Shall perform engineering tasks for back-end design and development efforts including, but not limited to, developing back-end architectures to support current and new system capabilities and integrations, RESTful API development and modification, database management, and data model development and optimization.

This position is contingent upon award of the contract. This position requires an active Secret Security clearance or higher.

Although this role may be performed remotely, occasional paid travel to the client site in San Antonio, Texas or Baltimore, Maryland may be required.
